Thanks for the hospitality. The cottage was really well kept and clean. We used the boats and went out to the lake on the first day. After that, we chilled, had some beers and grilled. The second day we went to Rainbow Park but it was so full, they didn't let us in. But we came back, had lunch and relaxed. The purpose of the trip was to get away from the hectic city life and we definitely fulfilled it. You have a great place and hopefully we will come back again.
PS - We named the lake Wine Lake Cabin
(Owner note: Owner entry from guest journal May of 2015. Calendar will not allow posting that far back.)
We love this cabin feel house and the area. Small town feel with lots to do. The bike trail is great and Weeki Wachee is within driving distance. The owner is very nice and accommodating... We highly recommend this place!
Everything was excellent. No problems whatsoever. Would highly recommend if you like a cozy, serene, clean, relaxing atmosphere.
We always had a dream... to go to a cabin in the middle of nature. Finally we found the one. We went to CYPRESS COTTAGE with our beautiful four legged babies. From the moment we stepped out of the car we felt amazed. Not only the cottage is as homey as it, is a sweet spot with such a beautiful story that you can read in a wall frame in the dinning room.
The lake evokes so much peace. We enjoyed every single minute there as a family and created memories that we carry with us everywhere we go.We are already planning our next visit, which we hope can be a long stay.
Thank you Chris for your hospitality. Every detail in the cabin shows how much you care.
This lake house vintage home was everything I expected based on the description and pictures. From the moment we entered the house it felt so much like coming home to Grandmas. The home was very clean and everything needed and then some was provided. We had family join us for Christmas dinner which we had no trouble preparing due to the fully stocked kitchen, all that was needed was the food. The dining table held eight people but we could have even fit more. It was very peaceful, tranquil and the view was very nice. The owner checked in to make sure everything was ok and if needed was just a phone call away. My only regret was not being able to stay longer and we will most certainly be back. A big thank you to the Dudleys for making us feel like family!
After the passing of my father my wife and i needed to get away for some relaxation time. The owner made the rental very enjoyable for us. The cottage was exceptionally nice and had everything you could want or need. Owner supplied bikes, fishing gear, canoe and boat. all you need to do is bring what you want to cook and your cloths. One of the neighbors even brought us a banana cream pie. Even though their are numerous things you can do in the area we just spent our time at the cottage enjoying cookouts with friends and family that came by. Early morning coffee on the front porch was a must and we enjoyed camp fires at night. My family is looking forward to renting again in the near future. Highly Recommend staying here! Owner even called us to make sure we didn't need or require anything!
Like the other reviews I have to agree this place had EVERYTHING! We went for a quiet weekend and to enjoy the outdoors. When we arrived Chris gave us the tour. The place was very clean and everything we could possibly need was there. All cooking items, down to spices and oils. Tupperwares. Foil etc. There are rowboats and a canoe and bikes to enjoy the bike trail nearby. Sitting out back was the highlight of the trip. From morning coffee to grilling and cocktails at sunset. We loved the fire pit. I only wished it were colder so we could've used the indoor fireplace as well! I would definitely recommend this place and will probably rent it again in the future. Very friendly and informative owner. If your thinking about booking this place do it!! You will love it. The pictures do not do it justice.
