Private little log cabin on the rock bound coast of Maine. So close to the water, you can watch them catch lobsters that could be on your dinner table that night. Two living areas, each with their own fireplace. The kitchen has a refrigerator, an electric range and microwave. Have your morning coffee watching the sun rise and deciding whether to golf, shop or visit some museums. The Pemaquid Point lighthouse is a must see. All within a 10 mile radius. There's even a sandy beach about 2 miles away. There are many fine restaurants in the area. Dress is casual everywhere, so ties and high heels need not apply!
This cabin is fantastic! Tucked beneath evergreens, overlooking the rocky shore, far nicer than it appears in the photographs, this well-built cabin is quaint, comfortable, and charming. It lacks nothing if you're seeking a quiet and relaxing retreat. We found it in immaculate condition, equipped with everything we needed. The very pleasant owner met us there with the key, walked us through the house, showing us around and answering all of our questions. You can scoot over to New Harbor for a lobster dinner at Shaw's, or, even better, come prepared to cook your own meals. Next time, and there WILL be a next time, we'll improve our stay by planning to cook all meals in, in order to limit the number of times we have to leave the cabin. Sit on the deck, put your feet up, and enjoy the ocean crashing at your feet. Sleep serenaded by the surf, and enjoy the brilliance of the stars.
This quirky (in a good way) log cabin is roomy and comfortably furnished with gorgeous views and two working fireplaces. There is wi-fi and good TV reception (numerous channels). But a visitor won't want to spend much time watching TV or surfing the Internet because there is so much else to do. There are lovely hiking trails, fascinating historical sites, and interesting craft and antique shops nearby. Many good restaurants nearby too--especially for seafood lovers. But, the cabin has a nice kitchen, and there are fresh seafood shops in the vicinity, so we cooked our own seafood meals most days. I shared the cabin with two good friends who also thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay. Highly recommended!
We had the most amazing stay in this cabin , which easily sleeps four adults. The views from all the windows were breathtaking and it was hard to tear ourselves away from the wrap around balcony. All the necessary amenities were there including two prepared fire places and enough wood for our stay. If you are looking for a quiet, remote get away, this is the place.
Overlooking Muscongus Bay and the rising sun, we are within a few miles of a sandy beach, a golf course, and the Pemaquid Lighthouse and museum. In the summer, restaurants and shopping abound. Less so in the winter. That's the time to build a fire and hope to get snowed in.
