The Creek House is a retro-rustic getaway with luxury lodge touches and plush amenities (including wi-fi and satellite TV) – all in an ultra-private creekside setting. This peaceful, fully equipped house features design with a mountain cabin feel that takes you back to a simpler time. Plus, you’re close to all the MANY attractions the area has to offer. In spring and summer, fish from your wooden bridge, have dinner on the back rock patio and sit in the cedar hot tub. It's creekside and under the stars! (Cedar Hot Tub NOT OPERATIONAL during Late Fall/Winter season -- 10/1 to approximately 4/1)

Note: There is a 1200 (twelve hundred) square foot unoccupied studio on the property in close proximity to the creek house. There is also a cedar hot tub with steps down to the creek and seasonal operation usually from about Spring to October!
This was our one year and summer vacation all rolled into one! We enjoyed fishing for trout and cute sunnies in the pond. Our jobs are both very stressful, so when we are by the creek all that stress melted away.
This is a perfect place to see the true beauty of the outdoors. From all the wildlife to the serene views.
THANKS for this lovely piece of heaven.

We are extremely happy with our stay. We enjoyed nigts by the fire. Then getting up in the morning drinking coffee listening to the brook next to the cabin. Our black lab enjoyed the walks. We had a great time and hope to return soon.
Our stay was awsome. We will be going back. I went with just me and my wife and the cabin was perfect but it was also big enough that when we go back in the spring I will be taking the kids. I have nothing at all to say but good things. If you are looking for a place to stay don't look any further this is the place.
You can give Big Al's Creek House many wonderful names, we just call it a wildly romantic place because you instantly feel romantic in the middle of nowhere :-) My husband and I went to Big Al's for my big 4-0 bday and it was the perfect place to be! Best of all was that our little furball Tab could come with us.
All these great reviews here perfectly describe this hidden treasure already, there is not much to add. We had the perfect weekend and felt nothing but cozy and relaxed every second.
We live in Ocean Grove, NJ and not many places can take us from there (especially not during summer time) but Big Al's certainly will and we're already thinking about another visit during summer time to enjoy all the outside space and the hot tub.
Thank you Andrew & Kevin for a fantastic weekend at your creek house.
What a wonderful weekend at the creek house! This was our second year at this beautiful spot and my husband and I are in love with Big Al's cozy cabin! We are already looking forward to next year!
Wow this place is so nicely done from lighting to land ! We can not wait for Spring/ Summer to enjoy another extended stay. The private pond is so Beautiful. I can't wait to sit on the dock and kick back. Excellent Excellent Excellent!
By the time my wife had suggested it five or six times over a two-year period, Big Al's had become a sort of ever-present, hovering symbol of how much she wanted to escape our life in Philly... and how little we could afford to do so. When her Christmas present for me this year was a weekend getaway in January (to Big Al's, of course) while our 3-year-old stayed with my parents, I was at least as apprehensive as I was excited. Her expectations for this now-mythic rental would be very high. My expectations for our one and only weekend getaway since our daughter was born: also high! It wasn’t cheap. Disappointment seemed certain.
So that's why I'm writing this: Because the weekend we had under the watchful eye of that gigantic novelty fish over the fireplace was among the best I've ever had, full stop.
The cabin is simply lovely, and years of renters (combined with an owner who clearly cares) have sanded all the rough edges off the experience of staying there. They've achieved that tricky balance of projecting cleanliness and simplicity without feeling antiseptic and anonymous, and every little thing you need is right where it should be. We felt instantly at home.
In wintertime, the view out the windows is pretty hard to believe. The design and position of the building vis-a-vis the creek, road, and surrounding land exerts subtle but careful control over your sight-lines, and pulls off the trick of convincing you that the cabin is truly in the middle of nowhere. The nearby roads just kind of vanish, and you're left with nothing but the woods, the creek babbling under the bridge, and the beautifully landscaped property itself. A thick layer of fresh snowfall was the cherry on top.
We cuddled in the creek room reading books and sipping beverages, cooked and ate my wife's legendary salmon, watched movies by the fireplace, listened to music, wandered the grounds (14 acres! there's a pond!), and even found some time to gaze into each other's eyes. I don't know what to say except that if you're in the market for something along those lines, you’ve probably found it.
Well done, Al, and many thanks.
With the beautiful creek and the romantic setting, why would anyone want to leave Big Al's Creek House? But if one did have cause to venture out, Big Al's Creek House is conveniently central to all Pocono Mountain resort area attractions.
These include: Camelback Ski Mountain, Camelback Play Park, Shawnee resort/Playhouse, The Crossings Outlet Center, Mt. Airy Casino, Great Wolf Lodge, Pocono’s NASCAR Raceway, Memory town, Tobyhanna State Park, and Pocono’s Brewing Company. A short drive will take you to either Lake Wallenpaupak for motorboat rentals, water skiing, tubing, Jet Ski rentals, sailing, and fishing or to Jack Frost/Big Boulder for skiing and Jim Thorpe for the areas best white water rafting or the quaint historical village for antiquing!
