Barrero Beach House is a two level house with 2 apartments, 2 bedrooms and one bath upstairs and 3 bedrooms and one bath downstairs. The property is located right on one of the nicest beaches in Rincon.Barrero Beach House is a beach house in every sense of the word as you step out the back directly onto the beach. You could spit into the ocean or even fish from the back yard. The only neighbors you will have is a Catholic Chapel and a small fishing co-op village on the South side. A place where you can lay in a hammock or have a BBQ in a shaded yard just feet from the ocean. There are no other vacation rentals in the area and it is located in a very unique Puerto Rican neighborhood about two miles from town. For a truly Puerto Rican vacation this is the place with a beach colmado (small store) one block down the road with cold medalla beers and fried meat pies (empanadillas). Yard is completly fenced and each unit has it's own BBQ, balcony with table, washing machine and enterance. the yard is a common area.
You can pay more but not gong to get more. This is the lest expensive property in Rincon that is directly on the beach.
Other Activities: Have a BBQ on the patio and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
Go to the Colmado Oasis and have a beer.
Mountain car tour.
Go to Camuy Caves and Radiostelescope.

Sits on the beach and can get fresh fish next door from the fishermen
We loved this little beach house and the location was perfect - right on the beach in a quiet little neighborhood, with a short drive to Rincon. We stayed in the lower unit which has three small bedrooms, one bath with tub and shower and an open area with small kitchen, dining and sitting area. The kitchen is fine for cooking and has a full size fridge, microwave and gas range. There isn't any hot water in the kitchen, but we just boiled a pan of water when we needed to wash dishes. So, it's rustic, but just fine for us. It was immaculately clean, with nice bedding and a very comfortable queen bed in the master bedroom. The other two bedrooms have two twin beds in each, and I can't speak to their comfort, as we didn't use them. The small yard is nice and the deck off the yard is spacious and comfortable. The gas barbecue was nice to have and we did use it for steaks one evening.
Best of all is the beach! Open the gate to the yard, step down about four stairs and you're there! We took chairs down to the beach every morning and had our coffee there - heavenly!
Joe and his wife Pilar were wonderful hosts, and Joe stopped by to see how things were going and visit for a bit several times. We sure enjoyed getting to know him and we are grateful that he shares this little gem of a house with others! We will be back - no doubt about it!
House is a private home with all the amenities anyone would need. It was a pleasure to meet Joe and his wife. Joe and I had much in common. Both lived in New Mexico. In fact, I attended the university in the city he lived in before retiring. I enjoyed sharing stories with him. Joe met us late night as our flight was delayed. Showed us to the home and bid us goodnight. The next morning Joe came over for us to settle up the remainder of the rental amount. Joe brought us a fresh quart of milk and we had coffee while we settled up and getting to know each other. That was very nice of Joe to do that. He brought my wife a couple of fishing rods for her to use. One of the nights our grand kids cooked a large meal of Paella and Joe and his wife joined us as well as some friends of ours from a nearby city. It was a beautiful evening. All in all, Joe did everything to make us very comfortable in the house. Could not have asked for more. Right on the beach with a completely equipped home with everything any one would need. We are planning on returning next year about the same time for our grandson's wedding, and will be staying again with Joe.
Thank you very much, Joe. Looking forward to September 2017.
This is our second time staying at the Barrero beach house. if you want to wake up to your own ocean front , this is the place to come. not only you wake up to the sound of the waves but you go to sleep just the same. Relaxing, drinking, eating and watching the sunset. whats better than that your own private beach house. The house was well kept and everything you need is there. Joe made sure everything was in place and there anytime you call. We are definitely looking forward to our next stay again, again and again. Thank you joe for everything! from Rafi and norma. : )
This is our second time staying at the house. We have no complaints. Joe had everything we needed here, Amenities are included . All you have to supply is your groceries.
This is a excellent place. if you want to get away and relax from the tourist area.
The beach is one step away.
This is what we call HEAVEN.
THANK YOU JOE!
This was our second time to stay at Barrero Beach House.
We love the quiet, out-of-the-way location and the immersive "local" feel it affords. Of course, you can't beat the fact that your backyard IS the beach! The lovely sound of the gentle waves is a constant, making a great soundtrack to your stay, especially at night.
Great swimming and snorkeling right outside your backdoor. Convenient enough to Rincon and Mayaguez in case you need anything.
The house itself is no-frills - don't expect the Taj Mahal. But this is part of the charm too!
We hope to be back many times in the future.
This place is everything you ever wanted in a private vacation getaway! What a value! A balcony outside overlooks the back yard with a hammock and palm trees, and the beach is right behind it, making for beautiful sunsets. This place has everything you need: a full kitchen with stove, oven, sink, microwave, and even a toaster. There is also a full sized refrigerator so you can stock up on groceries and cook for yourself. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom, and there is also a living area and kitchen table. Our kids had their own room, and we had our privacy! A washing machine and clothes line are in the back, making it easy to maintain clean clothes with all the beach visits. This place is not real fancy - it's a beach house, so don't expect the Four Seasons hotel. It's nice and clean with more space and amenities than you could get anywhere for the price, not to mention the incredible location right on the beach. The beds were clean and comfy, and the location was perfect. 5 minutes from downtown Rincon, 15 minutes from Sams' club. There is also cable TV, WIFI, AC units in each bedroom, and a BBQ grill in the backyard where we grilled some fresh fish we caught! I will be back and would recommend this place to anyone!
