About the property

2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, GameTable, Wii - Sleeps 4-5

Magical Mountain Memories are just a stay away...

As you drive to the Nantahala Gorge, you will experience a true vacation feeling! From the moment you see the Majestic Long Range Mountain Views from the Cabin, you are sure to be captivated! Our new upgrades for the 2016 season include Leather Sofa and Love Seat and the addition of a Wii Game System (just in case of a rainy day)... So far, our 2017 updates are not quite so exciting (new deck stairs, a new coat of exterior stain, etc...)

Inside the cabin there are wood floors, pine tongue and groove walls and a complete wall of glass w/ floor to ceiling windows to take in the Majestic Mountain Views from every room in the Cabin!

You will see what we mean by Rustic Luxury when you cuddle up in front of the Fireplace, or enjoy the Plush Egyptian Cotton Linens and Bathrobes after a soak in the Sparkling Hot tub filled with Fresh Spring water. The stainless & granite kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to cook at 'home' & on the deck, a Gas and/or Charcoal BBQ Grill. For those of you that enjoy hydro-therapy, there is a jetted tub in the downstairs bathroom!

The N.O.C. is just 5 minutes up the road and it is one of the main reasons both Good Morning America and National Geographic voted this area '#1 Vacation with a Splash'!

There are 7-8 restaurants within 10 minutes from casual to fine dining! There is an Outdoor Fire-pit to gather around and make smores, (3) Flat-screen - Satellite TV's, and a Foosball Table!

Over 50 acres of Green Space!: There are 50 acres of hiking trails just out of the front door. While hiking these trails you will encounter several ponds, the largest is spring fed and is full of fish! There are Bass, Brim, Catfish, and More...

There is a hand drawn map inside the welcome book to show some of the trails.

Mountain Magic is the perfect place to make your own Magical Mountain Memories!

We use only fine luxury high thread count linens, hypo allergenic Mattress Toppers, and our cleaning staff hangs them on the line to dry in the fresh Mountain Air when weather permits! There are two Queen Beds, One downstairs, One upstairs. There is a twin trundle bed underneath the Queen bed upstairs. We find this to be convenient when parents prefer separate beds for the children, or need beds for 3 children. Although the trundle bed is not designed to sleep adults, it is very comfortable! Beautiful and Relaxing with Fantastic Long Range Views

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great Spring getaway to Bryson City and our new favorite cabin getaway - Mountain Magic. The pictures are accurate reflections of the property and it is very clean and well maintained including the hot tub which we really appreciated and enjoyed every day of our visit. The cabin is open and airy and well stocked with amenities including his and her bath robes. Kathleen was great to work with both before and during our visit. The cabin is easily accessible with paved roads all the way to the cabin yet still offers fantastic long-range views of the surrounding mountains.

If you like rest and relation, you may never venture beyond the area near the cabin. However, if you do decide to check out the surrounding areas, there is plenty to do in the Nantahala Gorge area, the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC), tons of hiking trails, and a delightful small downtown area nearby in Bryson City with a number of good restaurants and plenty of shops. The people in town were warm and friendly which we found refreshing.

Owner's Response: Thank You so much for submitting this lovely review of Mountain Magic Cabin, our Housekeeping staff and Guest Services! We love hearing that our Guests are comfortable and are enjoying their Vacations! Your comment about how friendly the towns people are reminds me of what my Husband says. He loves that everyone waves with all 5 fingers. (My husband spent 25 years in Law Enforcement)... We look forward to your next trip this way! Steve and Kathleen Ford

Gorgeous view, cozy house!

  • 4 of 5

Upon arrival everything went smoothly and the house and dishes were very clean. The view is as pictured and worth the drive up the mountain. The drive up is all paved until you get to the driveway. The road is narrow for a little bit of the drive and you would have to reverse if another car came, but we never had that problem. The hot tub was great and warm when we got there. There was also plenty of firewood. The bed was comfortable. You can see the neighbors to the side of the house (they aren't in the way when looking at the view), and we heard them talking outside one night. This didn't bother us but something to note if you are wanting a more secluded house. It was just me and one other person, so the house had more than enough room. The bathroom upstairs off of the loft just has a door to the toilet room, not to the shower and sink. You can't see into the bathroom from downstairs, but something to be aware of depending on your comfort level with the people you are traveling with. Kathleen was very quick to respond and friendly when answering all of my questions before our stay! Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to a friend.

A wonderful location for a getaway in the mountains!

  • 5 of 5

We visited Mountain Magic for the mountain view and cabin feel. We are so happy to have found a cabin that was enjoyable to stay at and is also located near many beautiful outdoor adventures. The cabin is close to Wesser Creek, which feeds into the lower portion of the Nantahala Gorge. The gorge itself provided an entire day of exploration for us.

While we were there, we made some maintenance requests, which were fixed the same day. My son loved his stay in the loft, my dog loved to listen to the mountain wildlife and sniff the breeze, my wife felt very at home, and I loved the view of the stars from the fire pit area and the porch.

We would love to stay again should we return to the area.

Absolutely fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

No detail overlooked! Beautiful views, very clean, and conveniently located. Since it was colder weather than expected, the hot tub and cozy fireplace were great after a day out! Our family enjoyed the board games too! Wonderful memories made this week! Thank you so much! Definitely will be recommending this cabin to everyone and will be staying here, when we are in the area again :)

Owner's Response: Thank You so much for the wonderful 5 star review. We have worked tirelessly to update the cabin and furnishings over the winter, and we are so happy to hear you loved everything. It is always our goal to keep things fresh, and with views like that, well, they never get old... We recently implemented a technique for keeping the hot tub water effervescent (we still use a small amount of Bromine, but very little is needed since the water constantly cycles through the mineral sanitizers). The water is as fresh and sparkling on day 7 of your stay as it was on day 1! Kathleen and Steve Ford
