About the property

Your Magical Mountain Memories are just a stay away...

As you drive to the Nantahala Gorge, you will experience a true vacation feeling! From the moment you see the Majestic Long Range Mountain Views from the Cabin, you are sure to be captivated!

Inside the cabin there are wood floors, pine tongue and groove walls and a complete wall of glass w/ floor to ceiling windows to take in the Majestic Mountain Views from every room in the Cabin!

Enjoy the Long Range Mountain Views while you cuddle up in front of the Fireplace, or enjoy the Plush Cotton Bathrobes after a soak in the Sparkling Hot tub filled with Fresh Spring water...

The stainless & granite kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to cook at 'home' - and on the deck, a Gas and/or Charcoal BBQ Grill. For those of you that enjoy hydro-therapy, there is a jetted tub in the downstairs bathroom.

Bring the S'mores fixins and brush up on your favorite Campfire stories. Gathering around the FirePit is always an end of the day favorite!

This Season has brought several exciting Upgrades! There is now a King Size bed upstairs that offers "Sleep Number" technology with dual controls, and a New larger (42") Flat Screen TV in the living room. (The Queen Bed on the main level was previousely upgraded with a high quality mattress and memory foam topper.)

As always, the beds are prepared with Luxury linens and top quality Bedding.

The N.O.C. is just 5 minutes up the road and it is one of the main reasons both Good Morning America and National Geographic voted this area '#1 Vacation with a Splash'!

There are 7-8 restaurants within 10 minutes from casual to fine dining!

There are a total of (3) Flat-screen - Satellite TV's, and a Foosball Table!

We are available to assist you, and offer a few optional convenience services:

... Shopping service. If you would like to arrive at the Cabin with your Groceries already stocked, ask for details, we will have everything waiting for you upon your arrival.

... If you would like to enjoy a Spa Massage Service at the Cabin, it is a good idea to book in advance to assure availability. Your Professional Massage Therapist will come to you, so when you are done, they quietly disappear and leave you to relax!

... If your vacation dates are during 'Season' or Holidays and you plan to rent a pontoon or fishing boat, it may be a good idea to reserve in advance. Lake Fontana and the shore line is primarily Nantahala National Forest, or is part of The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, which is Federally owned, so the Lake is never 'Busy', but the few available rental boats do get booked up.

View the new area Guide for links and additional information about the area and activities.

Over 50 acres of Green Space: There are 50 acres of hiking trails just out of the front door. While hiking these trails you will encounter several ponds, the largest is spring fed and is full of fish! There are Bass, Brim, Catfish, and More...

There is a hand drawn map inside the welcome book to show some of the trails.

Mountain Magic is the perfect place to make your own Magical Mountain Memories!

Porch Gravity!

  • 5 of 5

Mountain Magic is a great retreat! This was our 2nd time staying and we definitely will come back. It is the perfect location - we can go to Deep Creek for a hike, into Bryson City to Mountain Perks for a cup of coffee and breakfast, schedule a local massage at Lakeview at Fontana, or just sit on the porch and look at that view... and do nothing. The house is very comfortable for 2 couples and 2 dogs and very well stocked. Don't delay... book your magical getaway soon.

A paradise in hiding

  • 5 of 5

The pics were just as was GORGEOUS! It was my first time driving up mountain roads so that was a little scary but well worth the adventure! Everyone in Bryson city was super nice and helpful. It was so quiet and peaceful. I recommend this vacation spot to anyone!!

Enjoyable Stay

  • 4 of 5

We were evidently so anxious to get our vacation started were arrived a day early. LOL

Actually we got our scheduled days mixed up. But all's good

Had nice weather from low 80 the first day, rain day 2 and cooler weather the rest of the week.

The cabin and view were very nice. We tralered our motorcycles up to the cabin but the curvey paved road up and transition to stone driveway was a little challanging so we got permission to park the trailer at the NOC Nantahala Outdoor Center while we took our rides and then trailered the bikes back to the cabin. Easy enough. Great area to ride.

With the rain and cooler weather the leaves started to change colors so timing was perfect.

Absolutely Beautiful!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was exactly as advertised. The cabin was spotless and was well stocked with all of the essentials. We had an issue with the tv reception but it was solved in about five minutes with a phone call. The town of Bryson City is very cool and laid back with several great restaurants and three nice breweries. As Floridians mountain driving was a little challenging to us, not to mention the narrow path (paved) to the cabin...but it was well worth it to enjoy the beautiful mornings and the great time we had in Bryson City!

Just the right amount of seclusion

  • 4 of 5

The house was very comfortable with lots of amenities and had a beautiful view. We appreciated the paved road and the location which was central to a lot of nearby activities. Kathleen, the property manager, was a good communicator and was very attentive. We have already booked our return visit!

Great Cabin - Nice View

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. I loved getting in the hot tub every morning and then just sitting on the porch. There was a clothesline which was great to hang up beach items. The trash drop off was very handy. The washer and dryer were nice. The road to the cabin was kind of scary--very narrow. We have a bigger car, Ford Flex.

Owner's Response: Hello Byron and Thank You so much for taking the time to submit this flattering review. We put up that clothesline for exactly that reason (and because we all love the smell of clothing and linens dried in the fresh mountain air)! You forgot to mention all of the widened areas along the road as you drive up. It is common in the mountains, to have wider areas to pull to the side in the event of a car approaching from the opposite direction. It is not common to find paved road access, but when you do, this is the way it is done in these parts. Again, we are Thankful you chose to stay with us, and hope you come back soon!
