This home is very cozy and comfortable for the ultimate relaxation weekend. Just a 1/8 of a mile ( nice walk)from the beach where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset or hear the wonderful sound of waves on the shoreline.
House is fully stocked….each bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, TV and separate bath. Extra set of quality sheets are in each room. Upstairs has a single twin bed in loft and an extra tri-fold which works well for kids. Linens in bedroom next to it.
Astoria has great art galleries and history. Seaside has Doogers restaurant and bumper cars. Gearhart has nice shopping and food. Costco and Fred Meyer are a few miles north.
VCR/DVD and Stereo is in great room………..there are some games and movies…
Washer/Dryer as well as a barbeque on front deck. There is no local phone service at the home at this time but most cell phones work.
Our beach is expansive and quiet. We get lots of sun and there are a variety of sand dollars and cockle shells for finding. You can walk which is about 3 blocks or we like to pack the car up and drive on and set up camp for the day. Lewis and Clark trails are there as well.

Hello,
I am a father of a 23 year old son who shares my passion of golf. We enjoy using our membership to Astoria Country club when we can get away from the city. I love the beach; fresh air and soothing sounds of the ocean are very relaxing. It is a quick trip from Portland.I have been using Vacation by Owner for the past two and have had many wonderful families use my home for all over the states. Thank you for visitng our site and I hope you will find my home is one you will want to re-visit time again.
Cheers,
Chris
Cassandra purchased this house in 1997
I have been coming to the Astoria area since I was a young child. I love the community and the warm people who surround it.
Quarter mile from the beach (one of the few places you can actually drive your car onto the beach). Between Astoria and Seaside. Lewis and Clark trail head is a few minutes away featuring a 3 mile and a 5 mile hike. Near by shopping - Seaside, Costco, outlet mall, Home Depot, dollar store, TJMax, and even a new Goodwill superstore.
We enjoyed the close location to the beach, the fire pit, enough rooms for our family of six, and “roughing it” in Oregon. It’s beautiful here! Suggestions we would make would be to type up exactly how to work each tv, as these remotes were way more complicated than they should be. After touring the area, playing on the beach, and having a fire in the pit, we like to sit down to watch tv together. Also, we could tell that the cleaning job may have been rushed before us, as there were crumbs and items on and in the couch, and the on the floor in some areas.
Overall, though, we are pleased with the house and will keep it in mind if we ever make it back here. Thank you again!
There was plenty of room for our family of 6. Loved that each bedroom had its own bath. The only thing I wished we had known was to bring slippers. We were there on quite chilly days and the tile floors in family room and kitchen were cold on feet, as the owners ask you not wear shoes inside. The kitchen was well stocked with basically everything you might need for cooking and serving.
This house was perfect for our annual girls weekend. Great distances to the beach and Astoria. Cozy and warm.
Only issues we had were with the toilet in the laundry room didn’t flush and we could not figure out how to turn the fireplace on. Other than that we absolutely loved the place.
We will definitely be back next year.
We appreciated how clean, well stocked & pet friendly this house was.
We had a great stay and were very happy with the accommodations. We had a quick question upon arrival and the owner was responsive. I was amazed at how well stocked and organized the house was and especially the kitchen. We stayed over Christmas visiting family and it was nice to have our own space to retreat to. The main sitting area could use more lighting for reading as it's pretty dark. Otherwise nothing to add to a wonderful home.
We were three couples and a dog staying for the week with our boat, crab pots, and two trucks. There was plenty of room for everything and we enjoyed coming home to this beach house after long days of adventuring. A bathroom in each bedroom was much appreciated.
The house was clean, cozy, and quiet. I noticed that it thankfully does not have that musty damp feeling that a lot of beach houses have.
This checked all the boxes for us: dog-friendly, boat parking, quiet, nice kitchen for cooking meals and big living room for catching up. It is situated on a fairly private lane and backs to the dunes. Deer were regularly in the yard. We would stay here again. I would give it 5 stars if dogs were allowed on carpets (bedrooms).
Two minutes drive from sunset Beach access where you can drive right onto the beach. Ten min walk Lewis and Clark hiking trails blocks away. There is no ocean view from home. Lake with in few min walk. Check in is 4PM and Check out is 11AM.
