A retired Flight Attendant [for a major airline] and a retired US Air Force Career man continue on to love their life out in nature and amongst the wildlife. We thrive on the clean mountain air and the solitude of the hollow, with the lovely stream running thru it. It is such a perfectly beautiful place and truly magic at Cabin At The Mill. We want to share that with other people by opening up of private Guest House on the property and let others experience this amazing place.
Bonny Paulson, Owner purchased this cabin in 2006
Because there is no other place like this on earth ... it is that special..
So much to do for the active individual and so euphoric for the quiet and pensive.
My family really enjoyed our stay at Bonny's cabin. The property and countryside are so beautiful. It was a nice drive to Shenandoah and allowed us to go for hikes in the park a few days in a row. We cooked all our dinners at the cabin. The kitchen and grill are well set up for making family dinners. Bonny stopped by right away to check on us and let us know she was right down the road if we needed anything. We had a very comfortable and relaxing weekend. My son loved splashing in the stream during the hot weather. I will definitely consider renting the cabin in the future if we have the chance.
Very lovely cabin. We had a wonderful stay.
Me and my girlfriend were looking for a nice getaway from the city life and this cabin hit the ball out of the park. If your looking for a technology free vacation (yep no cell phones) to spend quality time with a loved one please visit this cabin. Great accommodations on a creek with wonderful activities and local dining close. We will be back again! Thank you for a great experience!
The Cabin at the Mill was a perfect vacation spot for the two of us and Buddy, our lab. The accommodation was just as promised - clean, comfortable and cosy. The location was great for daily trips into the Shenandoah National Park
to go hiking and also convenient for food shopping. Bonnie and Jim were exceptional hosts -- there whenever you needed them, but otherwise pleasantly in the background. We initially missed internet and cell phone service, but ultimately not only survived ... but thrived! We would return to the Cabin in a heartbeat ...
My sister and I were looking for a weekend getaway from the city. This cabin was absolutely perfect. We loved that there was no wifi and spent our time outdoors in local activities or sitting on the cabin deck and looking for bears. The cabin has everything you might need including nice touches such as coffee filters and dish soap/sponge. We only needed to bring any food that we wanted to eat. The beds were super comfortable with ample pillows, nice sheets, and firm mattresses. The cabin itself is quite charming; the pictures didn't do it justice. Checking in and out was easy and well managed. Bonny was quick to respond to emails.
Our family of five- two adults, two kids and one puppy, loved this place. It was just the right size- had plenty to keep our kids and puppy entertained and we completely relaxed.
