|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Enjoy an ocean view in a beautiful, modern condo on the lofty hillside above 'old town' overlooking the world famous Los Muertos Beach. You will be only a 3 min. walk from the most happening part of Puerto Vallarta. The luxury condo is 1,200 sq. ft. in a building that only has 5 condos in all. You are walking distance from everything and have the comfort and of a completely modern condo with all the amenities, including a pool. The condo has 2 master bedroom with king size beds with a full bathroom with good views. An enormous fully equipped kitchen with granite top counters, a 4 person marble top dining room and a living room with a spectacular view and balcony. Everything is furnished in a combination modern and comfortable combining modern architecture with traditional materials. Puerto Vallarta at its best.
"What an amazing way to wake up, a gentle breeze off the ocean and then opening your eyes to the vista of Puerto Vallarta right from the bed.
The location is great. While you are a short walk from the beach you are really far above it, away from the chaos of restaurants and beach life, so much better to over look it than to be immersed in it.
The Condo is fresh and new with contemporary furnishings for a great architectural feel. We were told not to worry about closing up the place but just leave the window doors wide open. It is safe and when I asked after the mosquitoes I was told PV has very few and the constant breeze coming up from the ocean blows them away and keeps the condo cool. I had my doubts but the concierge was right. Our stuff was safe and not a bite or even buzzing to ruin the open-air life. Now this is camping the way it should be.
The two good-sized bedrooms both had bathrooms with open air showers, very reminiscent of Bali but without the jet lag. Very clean and spa like.
The living room is magical since there is only a clear glass balcony wall between you and the view. The sofa appeared to be able to convert to an extra bed but we didn't need it.
There are three paths that lead to down the hillside to the beach. The most difficult one is the closest and bet used in daylight, the second could be easily done at night but for the squeamish you can take the longer street way. All three of these paths bring you right to the beach and restaurants.
One of our favorite eateries was a very short walk on the beach called la Palapa, they have a great menu and great service, and something you don't often see in a beach front restaurant."
We have spent some nice days in this apartment, it's clean and has all the services. Also it is very close to the beach. Very recommendable.
The owner advertised this property as providing "Privacy & Comfort". I had none. As the workers (from 8am-7pm - 6 days/week) were so close you could hand them a beer if you were so inclined they watched me day and night. They watched the front door when I came and went as well. If you open the bathroom window at the front of the building they can see right inside. The other bathroom can be seen into from the highway. There is construction one building away from the side of the condo as well - big steel girders being pounded into wet concrete etc..so I felt like I was in a fishbowl in the middle of a construction zone. The main highway runs behind/beside the building. That could be why the owner put up a new curtain. There is a Corona Deposito right on the highway where young men pull up their trucks in the evening and play very loud rap etc... Even the weekly maid exclaimed "hay demasiado ruido!" translation- "There is too much noise." One afternoon I returned to find a worker in the condo doing some painting. I had not been given notice of this. Since I sent a photo of the 'new front window view' to HomeAway the owner refuses to discuss this with me at this time.
I have let HomeAway know this condo is being misrepresented. At least the property manager apologised to me as he noticed the workers were still there one night at 7pm.
There is something wrong with the water pressure so the toilets don't flush unless you hold the plunger down for the whole flush and the showers are very weak. They don't get hot but do get warm after 5 minutes or so. I didn't use the dishwasher or oven so I can't comment there. The 30 minute cycle works on the clothes washer. Due to the noise and lack of privacy this was a stressful time away. I travel to Mexico twice yearly and otherwise love Mexico!
I thought this Condo was just perfect! First of all, it looked like it came out of Architectural Digest. The decor was so beautiful, modern and functional. The size was ideal, not too big, not too small and we were four. There was a view of the ocean and the location was very convenient. It was just a few blocks to shops and restaurants and a couple more blocks to the beach. It is in a quaint and typical Mexican part of Puerto Vallarta with cobblestone streets. Just perfect!
I was Michele's guest for a week in her lovely condo. The views were spectacular, the amenities first class and the bedding and furniture were very comfortable. It is well situated close - to the older part of Puerto Vallarta with good shopping and restaurants. You are just a few blocks from the beaches as well. Very easy to get anywhere from here. I would recommend it if you are looking for a nice clean place that is well situated and well priced.
We just spent 9 days in this incredible property. Part of our stay we had a second couple with us. The layout and spaciously design (essentially a dual-master with open living areas bisecting the sleeping areas) gave us all complete privacy. The views of the ocean and fresh breezes allowed us to enjoy our time without utilizing the air conditioning, although we did enjoy the room-by-room A/C units in the bedrooms at night to keep things fresh and quiet for sleeping.)
The location is perfect, just steps away from all the shopping, beach, dining & entertainment we could ever want, yet above the hustle and bustle.
Thank you - we'll be back!
Puerto Vallarta is known as Mexico's most quaint beach town, and French's La Cañada Romantica is in the oldest (quaintest) part of PV. You are walking distance to the boardwalk and the Los Muertos pier, as well as the old down town area. Of course, you are also in the most happening area that has the most restaurants and bars such as the Andale, or Blue Chairs, and where Latin Fever happens every year. If you are into Volleyball on the beach, or having Margaritas, it is all only 3 min. away.
Other Activities: art galleries, shopping, dancing, beach volleyball
