About Robert Morrison

Bob and Emily Morrison are native Floridians, but have lived in the Boston area for many years. With their five children and dog, they have enjoyed many weekends and vacations in Maine.

Robert Morrison purchased this cabin in 2000

Why Robert Morrison chose Bethel - Sunday River area

Various members of our family love to ski, hike, play golf, and canoe. We also enjoy simply escaping to the mountains. It is much cooler and pleasant in the Summer, and the Fall foliage is amazing. The skiing is much better at Sunday River than at most other New England resorts. It is a little farther from New York City and Boston. Because Sunday River is so large and has such great lifts, there are very few waits in lift lines. We also fell in love with the cabin when we first saw it.

What makes this cabin unique

When we are at the cabin, we enjoy a comfortable, rustic, and peaceful setting. Although the cabin has central heating, we also greatly enjoy the beautiful fireplace during the Fall and Winter months. During the Spring and Summer, we spend a lot of time on the porch, out in the large yard, and in the surrounding woods.

Beautiful cabin full of character

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. With its location you feel secluded in the woods, however your only a short ride to Sunday River and the town of Bethel. We stayed during the month of February. Upon arriving we found the driveway clear and the house shovel out. The fireplace was delightful after a day spent of the slopes.

Great Cabin on Sparrowhawk Mtn

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at the Morrison's cabin. It is bigger than it seems in the pictures. It was clean and well equipped (didn't need to bring my crock pot!), the open & closing of the cabin instructions were easy to follow and it warmed up really quickly when we arrived the first night. Plenty of hot water for showers, the beds were comfortable and only 15 mins to South Ridge Lot at SR for skiing, we will hopefully return for another visit someday!

Highly Recommended Stay

  • 5 of 5

The property was very nice, large, clean, well-maintained with all the amenities (fireplace, cable, wifi and household items) you will need to enjoy your stay. The location was secluded but very close to town and skiing. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights with our 2 dogs. Mother nature was kind enough to snow overnight and leave a picture-perfect setting for us as we awoke. Highly recommended!

The cabin was perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of six had the best time staying in the cabin in Bethel! The cabin was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need. The owners were a pleasure to work with and even went out of their way to send us my son's watch that he left behind. I would highly recommend this rental and will definitely stay there again if we're in that area in the future.

Peaceful, tranquil log cabin with all the necessary ammenities.

  • 5 of 5

Morrison's cabin is a peaceful getaway, nestled on seven wooded acres, away from traffic and noise. It was a delightful indoor haven to rest our aches and pains after continuous days of hiking in the White Mountains. Additionally, there was plenty of space outdoors to hang hammocks for peaceful reading, prayer and meditation. We were grateful for our stay and highly recommend Morrison's cabin.

Beautiful cabin

  • 5 of 5

The kitchen was well equipped and the cabin was immaculate. Plenty of towels and sheets, a real bonus not having to pack those things. Our family felt very relaxed and at home from the moment we arrived. There was plenty of split wood available for the fire pit out back, we had a fire and sat out in the back yard all evening.
