Self contained- two T.V.s , 2 bikes, King sized bed with memory foam topper, stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, washer and dryer. Only about 170 yards to the beach. Enjoy world class golf, tennis,fishing, crabbing, biking, beach activities, sightseeing (Charleston, S.C. only about 20-25 mi. away), excellent dining in area,and more. No Pool or Tennis Access. 1st Vacation as a family of 3=Best Vacation Ever

I have to say this was our first time booking VRBO online. We were a little hesitant, but decided to try for our first vacation since our honeymoon 5 years ago and our first with our 2 year old. Needless to say, I am so glad that we did. Kiawah Island was the PERFECT sport for our family of 3. The condo was clean and was just as described in the listing. Mr. Herring was very helpful with any questions we had prior to our stay. We enjoyed eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the outdoor screened-in porch area. We even got to see a deer enjoying breakfast right at our porch. The distance to the ocean was great for us. We were able to pull our son in his wagon to the ocean each morning with all of his toys and beach tent. It was easy to pack up and come inside for nap time and then go back out again in the afternoon. The bikes included were probably one of the best parts. We took all of the bike paths to enjoy all Kiawah's beauty. We visited all of the wildlife/marsh observation towers and enjoyed biking in the evening. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is looking for a great place on a great budget. We will most definitely book again in the future.

Beautiful Place to Stay

This is our third stay at this Mariners Watch place and we love it. The scenery from the back screened porch is a beautiful view of the lake and wildlife. The beach is just yards away with nice boardwalk and beach shower. The beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the south. Kiawah Island is our favorite place to be. Chez Fish is a great restaurant to visit and the outdoor farmers market nearby is nice too.

Perfect location and Price seconds from the Beach

Kiawah Island has the "perfect beach" for beach goers who prefer to avoid the crowds, the commercialism, the boardwalks, and the noise (other than the crashing waves and wildlife.) If you're a small family or a couple looking for an escape, or a golfing trip with a buddy, and you're on a budget but still want to stay on the island, this one bedroom condo is adequate. Nothing is extravagant, fancy, or in "perfect shape", but everything is serviceable for a vacation.

Independence Mo.

Excellent Kiawah location

This condo was just right for us. First floor, plenty of space for two people and our small dog. Only had one small problem with the garbage disposal and the owner replaced it the next day. The condo is really close to the beach and the dog could run free until the middle of march so he had a great time. The free use of bicycles was also a great plus as we used them frequently. Lots of bike paths to ride on and the beach riding was great.We think you will find this a great value with plenty to do.

Convenient location, short walk to the beach

This condo was well-suited for our small family of 3. It is close to the beach and nearby Night Heron park and Town Market. We used the included bikes a lot to explore the island. The place is a bit dated and had a little trouble with the garbage disposal and dryer, but overall it's probably one of the least expensive places to stay on the island. Not much counter space for cooking- if you're planning on cooking or eating in I'd recommend going up the road to the Bi Lo on John's Island for groceries rather than the overpriced markets on Kiawah. Also Chez Fish restaurant on John's Island is excellent and reasonably priced. Fred the owner is very personable and accomodating... thank you!

Fantastic Condo and Vacation Stay!

This property in Kiawah was perfect for our needs. It was just steps from the beach, and had bicycles for our use, which was the main reason we selected this property. The bikes worked fine and we had a lot of fun with them. Weekly rentals per bike on the island are otherwise $45, so that saved us some money. The kitchen was well setup with every kind of dish, pot, or pan that you can imagine. There was no dishwasher detergent or dish washing liquid, however, so we had to make a trip to the store to get some. This was probably just an oversight by the cleaning person, however, since there was plenty of small soaps and clothes washing detergent there for our use. The bed was really comfortable, and the apartment was clean when we arrived. The sheets were crisp and fresh, bathroom was very clean, as was the kitchen. The condo does have carpet that gets sandy from the beach, and a few kind of dusty fake ficus trees that we could have lived without, but all the surfaces that are important were clean and fresh. The condo was very quiet for sleeping, and the screened in sun porch was a real plus. There were two televisions, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. There was some issue with the living room television, but we missed the cable guy. who had left a note on the door before we got there. Since the bedroom television worked great, we didn't worry about it. All in all, a wonderful vacation rental which we would love to return to in the future. Our only suggestion would be to leave a few surplus supplies such as a second extra toilet paper, a second extra paper towel roll, and a third trash bag. There was one backup of each used, but we ran out of paper towels and had to buy another roll as well. We also enjoyed viewing the alligator in the pond we could see from the screened in porch. This was one of the best vacations we ever had.
