This private home has all the personal touches to make your stay enjoyable, because we also use it as our second home. Individually-owned but professionally managed, this is the place you will return to year after year. Property manger lives near by so any maintenance issues or problems are taken care of promptly.

Relax with your family and friends in this well-appointed home with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and a 2-car garage. This luxury ski residence has three fireplaces, a private hot tub and two master bedroom suites with private baths (one with jetted tub).

New heated boot closet dries out boots and gloves overnight -- works great.

The floor plan works well for many combinations of family and friends. Each master bedroom has a king bed, a large third bedroom has two queen beds, and the fourth bedroom has a bunk bed. A large sofa sleeper in the family rooms sleeps two. Sleeps 4-10 comfortably.

Also convenient to grocery stores, shopping and entertainment, and to Park City ski resorts. 20 minutes to downtown Salt Lake and 25 minutes to the airport.

Right before your stay we send you tips and recommendations for things such as restaurants and shopping, and also info on a great massage service that comes right out to our ski home. We have skied Utah for over 30 years, so we can answer most of your questions and provide you with information so you can make the most of your ski vacation.

About Jim Rock

We live in Arlington, VA but love Utah. Winter is the best season to enjoy northern Utah, but summer is magical as well. We regularly travel to southern Utah to hike in the numerous national parks and love Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. This summer we took a four day white-water raft trip down the Colorado River which was great. Our son lives in the area and is a ski instructor at Snowbird.

Why Jim Rock chose Utah

We rented the same place for our ski vacations that we loved year after year. Then it was sold. We then rented a different place every year. Some were nice, some were dumps, none were ever quite right. So we bought our ski home at Canyon Place and fixed it up the way we wanted. We think its the kind of place you will want to return to year after year. The location in Cottonwood Heights is great, with easy access to seven ski resorts while at the same time convenient to restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

Beautifully appointed spacious home - away from home!

Our family (4 adults and 2 children) stayed at this beautiful home during a recent trip to Salt Lake City.

We were greeted with a welcome card, cookies and a bottle of wine! The house was clean and well

appointed with everything you might need during your stay.

It was a wonderful choice for us as we needed to commute into SLC early every morning. Everyone

had enough room to spread out and get ready quickly in the morning.

The owner provided OUTSTANDING service to us, answering all of our questions and making sure our stay was delightful.

While this was our first trip to SLC, we hope it won't be our last. We would certainly choose this home again!

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay.....7 middle-aged guys on annual ski trip. Great location to Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon resorts. We skied Snowbird and Alta to very convenient for us. Grocery stores and state liquor store near by........we cooked all our meals in house and all the amenities were available. Grill is aged and could be upgraded. Kitchen is small for multiple cooks in the kitchen but adequate. Plenty of dishes to feed a crowd (we invited friends a couple nights and served 20 for dinner one night!---all had a plate!). Very clean and all the amenities we needed. Stacey, the property manager, is very attentive and Jim, the owner, was very accommodating. We would stay again!

Great location near Alta/Snowbird

Had a great trip to this ski condo. Very spacious and clean. Two master bedrooms and one room w/ two queen beds and one room w/ bunk beds. We had 6 adults in our group. Only issue was that one adult had to sleep in the bunk beds, which are better suited for children or teens - but that was not a major issue. Condo is approx. 20 min drive to Snowbird/Alta (30-40 min on weekends). We went to SLC for dinner twice (30min) and once up to Park City (60min). The kitchen is fully stocked - so for folks wanting to cook at home, that is easily accomplished. I definitely recommend Jim Rock's condo for groups looking to ski/hike in the Alta/Snowbird area. Jim and Stacey were great to work with and very communicative. Stacey even picked-up the garage door opener from the rent-a-car center at the airport when we inadvertently forgot to leave it at the Condo when we left to go back home (oops!).

Great Utah Ski Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo in Canyon Heights. Here were highlights-

First, this is a great location if you will be skiing multiple locations around Utah. Alta/Snowbird is twenty minute drive, Brighton /Solitude is 25 minute drive, Deer Valley/ Park City is approx. 35 minute drive.

There are plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, and ski rental shops within close distance.

The condo has plenty of room for sleeping for large groups...4 large bedrooms and 3 full baths so we had lots of room. Washer and Dryer are newer models and work great. My favorite parts were the Gas fireplace and the outdoor Hot tub....definitely essential for a Ski getaway. Also, Nice to have a two car garage to park cars at night and have warm one to get into in morning. Finally, Jim & Stacey were great hosts and helped with recommendations/ planning/ hosting...You should definitely consider renting this location for any vacation to Utah!

Fabulous ski villa!

We had a great ski weekend reunion with a group of friends at JIm's condo up Cottonwood Canyon. The accommodations are not only in perfect condition and ideally located but they are also lovely. The furnishings are comfortable and beautiful. The kitchen is really well equipped for making just about anything! The layout of the condo works well for a large group with a master bedroom on the main floor and the other bedrooms and baths on the lower floor.

Jim and his manager were communicative, accessible and made many great recommendations for lift tickets. ski rentals, restaurants and shoppping. We will definitely be returning for future ski get-aways.
