We had a fantastic stay at this house located at the Mauna Kea resort. For us it was the perfect combination of the privacy of a private home and yet being located on the grounds of the Mauna Kea resort with full access to all of the resort amenities at both the Mauna Kea and the neighboring Hupuna Prince. Our kids (11 and 8) loved the pool and the hot tub. The house is very well laid out, nicely furnished, and well stocked. The on site property manager was fantastic and answered all our questions.
I was lucky enough to rent this wonderful house for the month of February. It had everything, comfortable beds, well supplied kitchen, great view, pool, hot tub, access to best beach on island. The resort property has everything you need for a great vacation and is in a great location if you want to explore the rest of this beautiful island.
The spaciousness was perfect. A Place to get away from the hub hub of the Resort world (which is great for a day at the beach- but after that you want to relax). its a perfect spot for this. everything was great and the service from the property managers and coordination with the Mauna Kea Resort was seamless.
What an incredible home! Our family (2 adults, 2 young children) stayed at this residence within Mauna Kea with another family of four. The amenities were luxurious for the adults and the kids enjoyed having a pool at the home to spend the entire trip in the water! No shortage on pool toys, sand toys, snorkels, boogie boards and all other beach/ pool necessities! Our stay was extremely comfortable, even with the size of our group, and the location was perfect - great access to all the other resorts (we had fun dining at the Four Seasons, Waikaloa, Mauna Lani), and close enough to enjoy an incredible dinner at Merriman's, to find shave ice just a few minutes north, and to find fresh fish off the boat in the small fishing village nearby. Aside from the perfect location, the home itself cannot be beat. Views of the ocean, a feeling of seclusion despite being part of the Mauna Kea resort, access to all resort amenitiies (beach, pool, fitness, golf), very comfortable accommodations (spacious closets, kitchen, dining and seating areas) and pretty much anything one could ever want on vacation. We will definitely be back!
This house was everything I could have wanted...... ice machine, great pool/hot tub, comfy tv living room. Wonderful table for games and such. Big our door table for our meals...... extremely comfy linens on the beds. CLEAN CLEAN house. Would rent again in a minute!! Lots of privacy from room to room.
I had the pleasure of a week at Hale Ohana on the gorgeous Mauna Kea Resort. It was luxurious and well cared for. The beds and sheets were sumptuous. the space in the family kitchen area that opened to the outdoor bbq and dining area were perfect for our group of 8 to eat meals together inside or out. Sunset from the deck was incredible, where we played games and cards after dinner.
You are in the middle of a spectacular Robert Trent Jones golf course. the owner knew everything to do and perfect placse to go and eat or visit. We liked to take a morning walk on a lovely path along the course and secluded coves, perfect for a private dip in the Pacific recommended by the owner!
Snorkeling was incredible in the Mauna Kea bay, we saw a Manta ray, about 8 feet across in the lights at night. In the water there were more fish and turtles than I'd ever experienced. This was my second trip, longer than the first, we truly got to experience a lot of the Island. Ditch Adventure Kayaking and Helicopter rides and a trip to Akaka Falls were all nearby. I could go on, this is a dream spot. the climate was perfect and temps were 72 to 85 not humid, perfect for water sports and a hawaiian adventures. we ate at several of the local restaurants and shops which were great and the buffet brunch at Mauna Kea was delightful. Dolphin Quest was close, we saw the dolphins in their lagoons that ranged from 1 month to 41 years old, totally cool. We will plan to go again!! Don't miss the chance to experience this place..
