Overview

Oakland Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, Studio + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

This recently remodeled open concept loft is a ten minute walk to the 19 St BART, a few blocks from Lake Merritt, a Whole Foods market and downtown Oakland. Coffee shops, restaurants, art galleries, and dance studio spaces dot the immediate neighborhood.

The architectural appointments of this cityscape studio merge past and future, with oak floors, exposed brick walls, glass brick room dividers, stainless steel appliances, and granite counter tops. The view from the living area is of an enclosed patio roof garden and the condo space includes a full size, fully equipped kitchen, separate eating area, and bathroom with tile shower. A floor to ceiling curtain may be used to divide the space into two semi-private sleeping areas. One contains a new queen-sized bed, the other a double-sized convertible sofa bed.

Very pleased overall.

  • 4 of 5

From the outside appearance to be honest was a little questionable. However to my pleasant surprise we walked up to a very nice loft. It was neat, clean and very functional as our home base during our Northern California visit. We had everything we needed and despite other reviews, noise from the property next door was non existent. Easy access to the BART station. Onsite contact was very welcoming. Just remember if you have a rental car to keep up on the side changes for the on street parking

My favorite rental so far. Great kitchen with carefully thought out amenities. Love having coded building and apartment entry. A+ stay.

Absolutely lovely and comfortable Loft!

  • 5 of 5

This property is a real treasure!

My son and I stayed for about a week at the end of April and absolutely fell in love with it!

The loft is clean, modern, beautifully appointed and well cared for. Whoever put it together has a good eye for design. It really felt like home! It had absolutely everything you could want.... space, a very well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed and pull out couch, good lighting and ventilation and a lovely bath and great internet connection and cable. It's also quite helpful that the woman that is the care-taker lives in the same building and was very friendly. The loft is spotlessly maintained and the communication with both the owner and the care taker was seamless and easy.

There were very clear directions about re-cycling and plenty of towels and sheets. The pictures barely do it justice!

It is very conveniently located at 23rd and Telegraph - an easy off the freeway drops you on 27th or 29th street. The very trendy Temescal area is just up Telegraph, has terrific restaurants and is interesting to walk around - and if you want to venture to Alameda that's easy as well. It's very close to the Lake Merritt area and within walking distance of a Whole Foods. The only thing to be aware of if you have a car is that you have to change sides of the street for parking every night, but finding a space wasn't a big issue.

The building is secure, with a buzzer and intercom system and we felt very safe and comfortable.

It really was a pleasure to stay in this lovely loft and we whole-heartedly recommend it.

Functional, spacious, clean and well-equipped

  • 4 of 5

We throughly enjoyed our stay and felt that the loft was a great deal. It sits on the fringes of Oakland's renovation so its a short walk to upgraded stuff but also a short walk to the edgy areas which includes a cinema you should visit (The New Parkway), cool cafes and even a climbing gym. The loft itself has all you will need spread across an open floor plan. It is true that the Taco Bell drive-in laces its way past the bedroom window but you'll need to open your windows and ask people to shout to get wind of their orders! Parking is do-able in the street outside but competitive (and don't leave stuff in your car - it is an edgy neighbourhood after all).

Lovely Retreat in Uptown Oakland!

  • 5 of 5

The Artist Loft is a welcoming retreat in the heart of Uptown Oakland. It is clean, comfortable, and quiet with all the amenities and comforts you could wish for. The instructions by the owner were perfectly thorough and helpful. It is one block from the intersection of Grand and Telegraph Avenue - a perfect location filled with restaurants, delicatessans, brunch spots and only a few blocks from the BART station and from lovely Lake Merritt where you can stroll or jog on a well-kept path. Lake Merritt offers picnic spots as well as many other outdoor options. It's a perfect Loft and we hope to return again next time we are in Oakland. Five stars!!!
