Lovely stay

  • 4 of 5

We just completed a 10 day stay in the apartment for my wife's birthday. The apartment was charming, comfortable, and well equipped. The locations is excellent with easy access to metro stops and many good restaurants and shops in the bustling neighborhood. The boulangerie across the street was especially enjoyable for morning croissants. Sylvie was very helpful getting us checked in and out. i would recommend this apartment to anyone.

This apartment really is as good as it looks!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 wonderful weeks in this lovely apartment. The location is excellent.

We would love to rent this apartment again, should we be so lucky!

The owner is great to deal with and everything is well organized.

We were there during the heat wave and due to the fact that we kept the shutters shut all day to keep the heat out ,only opening them later in the evening to let in a breeze , it was pleasant. Further more , there were 3 fans available which we did use.

The apartment is on a busy street which we realized when we booked so naturally there was quite a lot of traffic noise but we loved feeling the pulse of the city. Once the shutters are shut at night most noise is blocked out. I used to run the fan in my room to create a white noise as I am a light sleeper. I slept like a baby. The fan was good at night to keep cool too.

The lady who looks after the apartment is charming and is also available to do some housework if you wish.

Beautiful Place des Vosges is a hop skip and jump from the apartment . Do visit Marché Aligré for a great produce market experience. Although the excellent Marché Richard Lenoir is very close. If you go to Marché Aligré, which I highly recommend, you can easily combine it with a pleasant walk along the Promenade Plantée afterwards, especially if you buy the makings of a picnic at the market first.

I love Paris in the springtime. I love Paris in the fall. I love Paris in the summer, when it sizzles . I even love Paris when it drizzles & I'd love to spend a Christmas in Paris , if I'm lucky.

Fingers crossed we'll be back and living in this same apartment .

Thank you Philip

Lovely stay!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was a lovely place and very pleasant to stay at. Being close to two Metro stops was very convenient. So many cafes within walking distance and the ease of preparing our own food in the kitchen was wonderful. The owner is very easy to communicate with and made sure everything was explained and easy to understand. The apartment was very clean and having the washer and dryer was a very nice bonus. We would highly recommend staying at this apartment!

Very good!

  • 4 of 5

This was our first try booking an apartment over a hotel. We were quite worried about sending money to someone without any real security. Philip made us feel safe as can be. Overall the trip went perfectly with someone meeting us at the apartment and checking us in. The apartment was very nice and completely equipped for daily use but I would not want to cook a complex dinner there. The check-in person noted the farmers market was open (twice per week) and we rushed to buy some food for our stay, a great option for fresh foods and cheeses. With the wine shop and excellent bakery next door we were set. Check hours of each as they are not open daily. But being able to eat a nice breakfast with fresh pastry every day for cheap really cut down on expenses. The location is perfect, not too close to tourist areas but well within walking distance of everything. The apartment was very comfortable and we loved it! There is a little traffic noise but not too bad. Do walk up away from the bastille to the shopping areas Rue Britagne. Toward the bastille is the tourist area. There are a number of used camera stores near the apartment so if you are lusting after an old film camera this is the place. There are also a number of good French restaurants in the area. We would do this again!

A superior apartment in a superb area

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have been fortunate to be able to visit Paris a few times now over the last few years and this apartment plays a large role in our return trips. The apartment is not only elegant and finely decorated but it is inviting and cozy as well. The floor to ceiling windows allow in great natural light as well as panoramic views of Parisian city life, all the while evoking an almost treehouse feel as you are nestled amongst the tops of the chestnut trees. There is plenty of space to be had and all the amenities of home. The location is perfect as it's just a short walk to many great sites, parks, museums, and markets. It's a true pleasure and gift to be able to stay here. To make things even better, the host has always made a great effort to see that we were comfortable and felt at home. We hope to visit again really soon. Thank you!

DAZZLING

  • 5 of 5

We read the reviews about this apartment and didn't believe it could be possible. having just finished a week long stay, may i say that we have never lived in such comfort. the spectacular views (both day and night), quality of light and attention to every detail made our stay a delight. truthfully i am taking many ideas back home with me as i would like to live this way every day! probably not easy, given the fact that my family lives in new york city, so the open air market and chic cafes are unlikely, but the understated elegance and luxury awaiting guests is not to be missed. our stay in paris, which was full of excursions to museums, shops and good restaurants, was great fun and the apartment was a welcome refuge at the end of each day. this goes down in my book as one of the happiest memories ever.
