There are truly inspiring views at High Point Retreat and plenty of places to sit and enjoy them. Take a load off in one of the many rooms with views of the ski mountain and remember how lucky you are to live like this. Cozy up with family in the sunken living room and chat for hours on end. Sit in a circle of tree stumps around the outdoor fire pit and roast marshmallows. After all that sitting, you can take the walk to the free shuttle stop - it's about 700 yards down the hill. Then, have a seat and enjoy your free ride.

Home was in great condition and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils / flatware. Lots of amazing mountain views . Plenty of space for a family of five. We enjoyed playing the provided board games with our kids . The property is on a wooded lot which provides lots of privacy. The hot tub is well taken care of and comfortably seats 4. Close to downtown Breckenridge. Invited homes provided lots of useful information for us about the area . We loved our stay! And would definitely stay in this home again.
Great property. Everything was ready for us including starter kits of everything (laundry detergent, coffee filters, etc). Liked the location as well, easy hike to Main street from a relatively quiet street.
Overall this house was a great value for 7 people (2 families). The location was perfect - far enough to walk off your dinner but close enough to town we only took the car 2 times in a week. Nice remodel kitchen, master and dining (it's an obvious add on to a original A frame house). The older part of the house is dated in some ways(small windows, older casement windows that are hard to operate), but not enough to make a difference. Good AV and Internet, hot tub in the mid range quality for a rental. Plenty of humidifiers in the bedrooms to help with that dry 10,000 ft air. Several issues to be aware of, but none should dissuade one from renting this house as a really excellent value:
No ice maker - really a puzzler in 2016. Would be easy to pipe the water in the addition to it, but not done. Nice fridge but no ice - got to buy or use trays.
No fans - individual or whole house. Can't figure for the life of me why you wouldn't put a whole house one in that climate. But neither one for whole house or individual fans in the bedrooms. Would be nice for a nap in July. Nighttime you don't need one except for the following reason....
Busy street - not ridiculous, but keeping windows open at night a issue with uphill straining traffic until late and starting early. The street the house is on is a rather busy connector to streets uphill.
Otherwise it was a great rental, and even with me being picky it was a great value....one could spend a lot more and not get anything for it. Cleaning crew was promptly out at check in time despite a long rental right before our group. Very well organized instructions and good supplies for dishes, clothes washer, etc. Could sleep 10 if 6 were small children and one couple didn't mind "roomies", otherwise 7 or 8 with 2 couples and 3-4 bigger kids is it. Would rent again most definitely.
We loved our stay at this home. It was very spacious for our big group, the living room and kitchen provided plenty of room to spread out. The bathrooms were all well sized with spacious showers/tubs. The kids loved the big screen TV's and the Xbox in the living room. We especially liked how well stocked the house was, paper towels, trash bags, etc. The location was nice, very close to Main Street and there are lots of nearby trails to hike or bike.
We would definitely return!
Just got back from a guys weekend at Breckenridge and stayed at this place. Great house! Well stocked and the views were awesome. Dining table off kitchen faces picture window with a great view of the mountain. Had a moose right across the street first morning!
Plenty of room for everyone to spread out.
Tad far for the bus stop carrying skis, but not too terrible.
Hot tub hit the spot after day on the slopes. Only about 25 minutes to Keystone if you wanted to change up your mountain destination, about 1.5 mile from Breck base.
Definitely would stay here again.
This is a great house for a large group. There were 10 of us, 3 families and every one had plenty of room. The large dining table and the separate living room/TV area worked out really well, the kids could relax in front of the screen while the grown ups could have a good chat after a long day on the slopes. The hot tub was good although the location is a bit strange. Beds are comfortable and everything is very clean and the kitchen was well stocked but the wine glass situation might need some improvement. The #4 bedroom does have a private bath but it is not en suite but not a big deal. The only real down side is how far the bus stop is from the house, 700 yards is a long way carrying skis in the thin air. We all agreed that we would stay at this house again when next time in Breckenridge.
