Lovely home!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at this home. It was very spacious for our big group, the living room and kitchen provided plenty of room to spread out. The bathrooms were all well sized with spacious showers/tubs. The kids loved the big screen TV's and the Xbox in the living room. We especially liked how well stocked the house was, paper towels, trash bags, etc. The location was nice, very close to Main Street and there are lots of nearby trails to hike or bike.

We would definitely return!

Fantastic House

  • 5 of 5

Just got back from a guys weekend at Breckenridge and stayed at this place. Great house! Well stocked and the views were awesome. Dining table off kitchen faces picture window with a great view of the mountain. Had a moose right across the street first morning!

Plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

Tad far for the bus stop carrying skis, but not too terrible.

Hot tub hit the spot after day on the slopes. Only about 25 minutes to Keystone if you wanted to change up your mountain destination, about 1.5 mile from Breck base.

Definitely would stay here again.

The perfect house for a large group

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house for a large group. There were 10 of us, 3 families and every one had plenty of room. The large dining table and the separate living room/TV area worked out really well, the kids could relax in front of the screen while the grown ups could have a good chat after a long day on the slopes. The hot tub was good although the location is a bit strange. Beds are comfortable and everything is very clean and the kitchen was well stocked but the wine glass situation might need some improvement. The #4 bedroom does have a private bath but it is not en suite but not a big deal. The only real down side is how far the bus stop is from the house, 700 yards is a long way carrying skis in the thin air. We all agreed that we would stay at this house again when next time in Breckenridge.

Perfect Family Retreat

  • 4 of 5

This house was beautiful and spacious especially for our whole family of 10. We had 4 adult couples and this house was one of the few that offered 4 bedrooms with at least a queen bed-instead of bunk beds. So for us adults that was wonderful! The temperature of the house was the only thing none of us could quite get right- either cold or too hot but I am pretty sure we were just too pre-occupied to deal with the thermostat. We did light a fire a few times and really warmed up the tv den room. The kitchen was large and great for cooking our large meals. Walking downtown is not too far, but being uphill the whole way back home and with all the snow we decided to just drive to the gondola lots to go up to peak 8. We had a great time and are now looking forward to each year going on a big family retreat now that we are older. 4wd was most definetely necessary this time of year with all the snow, but we had a great time watching out the large bay dining window the cars coming up the hill.

Attention needed!!

  • 2 of 5

Older home, nice updates, beds and linens nice, kitchen nice.

Serious attention is needed in several areas. In a home advertised to accommodate 10 people, at an executive home price, EVERY detail should be attended to. The kitchen had one small stock pot, we had to cook meals in several pots in stages to get it done. The blender does not work right. The ice maker does not work...a problem with 10 users. The washing machine does not spin clothes out fully, it took several dryer cycles to get them dry. The hot water heater is way too small. There was hot water for two showers. With 10 people, 11 days, meals and laundry...a constant juggling act for us. The phone number in the garage for trash pick-up was not the right number, as we were notified after days of trying to get our overflowing trash picked up. Showers with cloth shower curtains are stained and nasty. These need plastic shower curtain liners.... Our fear of renting on-line was realized. Would not do it again. The 10%discount should be applied to THIS stay! We paid ALOT of money for this home!! Left two days early.

Owner's Response: Thank you for this feedback. Since the time of this review many measures have been put in place to ensure these items are fixed. We have since restocked the kitchen with all the cookware needed for a large group, as well as replaced the washing machine. We've also ensured that the trash pickup and all other details about the home are correct and posted where they can be easily found. We have also provided ice cube trays and added shower liners in the bathrooms. As far as the hot water heater, this is a private home so it can only go so far. We recognize that it's frustrating to run out of hot water, so we recommend planning to spread out showers and dishwashing to ensure there is time for water to heat.
