Perfect family apartment in the heart of Barcelona
Our family of four (with children ages 6 and 8) loved this little apartment and how easy it was to visit many different neighborhoods in Barcelona. We only had 72 hours for our visit and found the location to be convenient to the site-seeing, metro, restaurants and grocery shopping.
Small but clean and comfortable.
We had a lovely stay in Barcelona. The apartment is small but ideal for a couple. It is surrounded by bars shops and restaurants. There is also a great market for food a couple of blocks away. Our only issue with the apartment was the road it was on is very busy and loud. Most nights I had to move into the back bedroom where it was quiet to sleep.
Just a few comments
We picked this apartment because we were arriving in the early hours of the morning and we could get into the building and the apartment with a code. The apartment was as described with some very nice architectural features, arched windows and ceiling details. The kitchen with its granite countertops was fully equipped. It also had a washer which was very welcomed. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was very small about 3’x7’ but the shower was hot and with good pressure. The rooftop terrace was huge with wonderful views of La Sagrada Familia and Barcelona. It was not busy at all, perfect for a glass of wine. The area felt very safe and was on the other side of the old town from where we stayed before which gave us a chance to explore new areas and restaurants. It was within walking distance of almost everything. Now the negatives: it is on a busy corner with buses and although the shutters help to muffle the noise, it still continued until late at night. The whole building had a slight smell of sewer (yes it is an old building). Probably though the most annoying thing was the spotty WiFi. In fact, the last day it stopped altogether, when we were trying to get info on our flight.
bars, cafes, restaurants (local cuisine, paella, Mexican, Chinese, creperie, and natural fruit juices - all within 100 meters), beach, childrens playground
