Very private woodsy site, yet near conveniences. Walk to Garwoods restaurant or the beach! A great 'get away from it all'... place!
This all pinewood Mountain Retreat has old Tahoe charm in every room. New kitchen & baths with lovely mountain furnishings make this home a comfortable family retreat for all seasons. Relax on a huge sunny deck or enjoy the warmth of a crackling wood fire. The sun room is a great place to awaken for breakfast before embarking on a backyard ski into the national forest. Adventurous skiers can ski from the cabin and summit Mt Pluto at Northstar resort, then ski back.
Comfortably share the Tahoe experience with friends or another family. A separate playroom/TV room, away from the living room make for quiet adult apres ski conversation while enjoying the stone hearth or outside deck. Off the playroom, an outside sandy badminton/volleyball court or Bocce or Croquet in the backyard make this ideal for young kids. Sports equipment in cabin.
The cabin sleeping arrangements are:
Bedroom 1 with 'Queen Log Bed' and exterior deck.
Bedroom 2 with 'Queen Log Bed' and exterior deck.
Bedroom 3 with 'Log Bunk Bed' twin mattress over full size mattress.
Bedroom 4 with full size bed-separate room off the loft with low ceiling-for kids or small adults
Twin mattress in the loft
Full size pull out couch in Family room.
Gas BarBQue on the deck; sometimes an igloo is in backyard... courtesy of my kids.

Our family loves the outdoors. Tahoe offers 4 seasons of some of the best weather and natural settings on the planet. Our cabin is ideally located to take advantage of all the year round fun that the Tahoe region and Lake Tahoe have to offer. We are in the midst of world class skiing resorts, including x-country & backcountry skiing right out the back door. Our favorite beaches and restaurants are a 5-10 minute walk with boat & kayak launches even closer. Nothing better than relaxing after a day of outdoor fun next to a cozy warm fire with friends and family!
steve worthington purchased this house in 2006

The cabin has direct & easy access to backcountry wilderness for hiking & skiing.

Hi Steve and Dorthy.
Many thanks for opening your home to my family last week. The cabin was perfect and we left it almost as we found it. (Minus used linens and such.) Everything worked, we didn’t need heat or AC, and we appreciated the kitchen items/condiments.
We will contact you next time we return to the area. I think my niece is also keen on renting again.
Just returned from 5 nights over Christmas and it was a wonderful family trip. 2 adults, 2 (older) children and our dog Comet enjoyed a special time at the cabin. The location between Tahoe City and Kings Beach is perfect and the property is well cared for and has everything you need. The owner was always available to answer questions and was a superb host. Highly recommend this cabin!
My family and I stood at this cabin over a month ago and we continuously talk about our stay. We enjoyed ourselves very much. This cabin had everything we needed and more. The owner was so transparent with the reservation and made himself available for any questions. I highly recommend this cabin!!!
We stayed at this home for a week in July along with another family (4 adults, 4 kids). The bedrooms were perfect to house all of us comfortably. I found the property exceeded our expectation. The kids loved the badminton/volleyball court on the side of the house as well as the very well stocked game/puzzle cabinet. The property was well suited for families. The location was superb - half a mile from the lake, close enough for bike rides to the lake with the kids. The personal touches with notes of recommended restaurants and sites were much appreciated and spot on. We go to Tahoe every summer and this house helped to make our vacation just perfect.
Our family enjoyed our time in this cabin for a last hoorah over winter break in January. We went with our kids and another family, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location is convenient for skiing, sledding, restaurants, etc., and we loved spending our evenings with a big fire making our dinners and playing games. We were lucky to have lots of snow and 4WD, since the sloped driveway was a bit slick.
We really had a great time, and the house suited our needs perfectly!
Our family stayed here with another family (4 adults, 4 young kids) over a long weekend in March 2016. The location is great for either summer or winter Tahoe run-- close to the lake, restaurants, etc and also close to ski resorts, snow play areas etc. The cabin is great-- roomy (there is an extra small bedroom in addition to the 3 advertised rooms which is perfect for kids), fully stocked (games, DVDs, firewood, sleds, full kitchen setup, etc), with plenty of rustic Tahoe charm. They even have a pancake griddle! The owners are very nice and responsive. Highly recommend!!
Our family of five stayed here during Christmas break and had the most enjoyable, relaxing escape in the snow !The house was a perfect size for our family. And very well kept. Which is so important to me. There was so much snow for a couple of days and we didn't need to go anywhere! We had everything we needed at the cabin. There is plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. Even an electric mixer that I was surprised to find when we wanted to make our special Christmas Breakfast. We arrived in the evening so waking up the next morning to beautiful windows surrounding the cabin with gorgeous trees covered in snow and watching the snowfall was incredible!!! We played board games near the fire and my Husband loved that there was already frozen beer mugs in the freezer. We ate our meals in the dining area surround by windows and georgous view. Our kids were even able to sled down the driveway being people were snowed in! Steve answers any questions you may have but they have everything so well organized that there isn't much left to ask. I can go on on but this happened to be exactly what our family was looking for and we look forward to going again!
