I personally built 'Canyon House at Trails End' in 1994 and have owned and maintained it since. We have been in the residential Real Estate business for more than 25 years in Evergreen Colorado. We are very well connected to the community. In addition to providing beautiful Wilderness Lodging opportunities we enjoy helping our guests connect with social, cultural, and business opportunities in Evergreen Colorado. Nice little house for Christmas

The house was a nice get-a-way for us. Tucked away in the Colorado pine forests it was a beautiful snowy white Christmas. The place was warm and cozy with a toasty fireplace. The only negative was our hot water heater did not keep up for morning showers.

Everything else was great. We really enjoyed the property.

Owner's Response: Ted, we are sorry that the hot water heater did not keep up with your personal requirements. It is a 40 gallon electric hot water heater and 4 people taking consecutive long showers will run the hot water out every time as the recovery rate will not handle 40 minutes of solid use with consistent hot water . After talking to you and learning that showers were 10 minutes long with 4 people showering back to back we understand why you ran out of hot water. We have never had a complaint like this before. If you are a prospective traveler who lives in a home with 5 or 6 people and your have a 75 gallon hot water heater you are most likely accustomed to never run out of hot water. If you come to one of our Vacation Cabins and have 4 to 6 guests and take 10 minute showers back to back with our 40 Gallon electric hot water heaters you will run out of Hot water until the water heater recovers in a matter of 10 minutes or so. We encourage your to see our many reviews which as far as we can tell non of our past guests have ever mentioned a lack of adequate hot water. Respectfully Michael Owner -Host

The cabin was clean suited our needs. When they say follow the printed directions they mean it. Driveway was a bit rough though.

Owner's Response: We thank our valued guest for re inforcing our reservation confirmation instructions to use our Driving directions as GPS will often provide wrong turns in our rural community. No one has ever gotten lost using our Driving Directions. If you are looking for an "Off the Beaten Path" wilderness location lodging experience that is a short drive to the village of Evergreen, Canyon House at Trails End will be the perfect choice Sincerely Michael - Owner Host
