Lovely apartment. Fantastic location.
Highly reccomend. Very clean and homely. The view from bedroom was fantastic. Perfect stay x
Wonderful apartment, great location walking distance to all of Galway.
Very helpful owner, you couldn't ask for a better location close to local pubs and shops and only a 20min walk from the city center, would highly recommend for all ages
Hello, thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated.
It helps future renters to make a decision to stay at Arus Grattan.
Delighted all worked out for your stay in Salthill, Galway.
Wonderful host and convenient location
I rented this apartment for my daughter and her friend who were U.S. students studying in Oxford and wanted to visit Galway for a few nights. Sean was amazing. He assisted with transportation, sightseeing tips and stocked the fridge with snacks . My daughter loved the apartment and the location was perfect. A short walk to Galway. Can't thank you enough Sean for taking good care of them!
Well-appointed place with a wonderful view!
This place is close enough to Galway to walk to the city center, but just far away to provide peace and quiet. The little town of Salthill has a cute coffee shop and a great pub. Do not miss eating st Ard Via, right near the Spanish Arch. We also listened to great Irish music at The Crane Bar.
Sean was a kind and helpful host, and you would have anything you needed to eat in if you like.
Time in Galway
The roomy 2 bedroom 2 bath apt. is in a perfect spot overlooking the bay. It is a 15 minute walk to Olde Galway and a 5 minute walk to Salthill. Both spots offer great pubs and restaurants to eat at. Salthill also has the famous OConner pub but I am still not quite sure if it is a pub or museum. A must see. Arus Grattan has reserved gated parking for each apartment which is great if you have a car. No worry about security. Your host, Sean, is a great guy and will help out with any issues you may have. With Arus Gratten as your home base you can make day trips to Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Cong, etc. If I return to Galway I will definately stay here again.
The view alone is worth the trip
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Arus Grattan, Grattan Road, Upper
Salthill, Galway. This is an ideal location for an individual or family vacation. The facility is beautiful, clean, safe and very well cared for.
The location is wonderful; right across the street from the Galway Bay with views that are breathtaking morning, afternoon and night. Salthill has a 4 mile Promenade that is great for exercise, meeting the very friendly neighbors and having a swim if the weather is right. The walk will take you to central Galway in 25 minutes with great restaurants, shops and historic sites. 5 Minutes in the opposite direct in takes you to the village of Salthill with many restaurants, some shops and even an interesting little casino.
Both Galway and Salthill have cultural events good for adults and families. Check out “Trad on the Prom” for Irish music and dancing (a ten minute walk). Regional tours and day trips will be easy by car and all of the local touring charters will pick you up in Salthill.
Sean and his team are friendly, professional and take the extra steps to make sure you feel welcome and oriented. I have already made a reservation to return. If you want a place on the Galway Bay – I strongly recommend the Arus Grattan Holiday Home.
