we had a lovely stay at steve's place. the house is huge enough for the 10 of us (7 adults and 3 kids) and very spacious rooms. not to mention bathrooms on 3 of rooms were a plus. the living area with an open floor concept on the 2nd floor is nice. spacious lanai overlooking the beautiful ocean. the pool was plus too if you dont wanna leave the house. close to all the major attractions on the north shore, dole plantation, haleiwa town, waimea bay, turtle bay and all the famous shrimp trucks. will definitely come back to this house next time we're in oahu!
I really can't say enough good stuff about this house. My husband and me are celebrating our 35 anniversary this year so we took our 3 adult children their spouses and our one grandchild. You get up in the morning sit on the deck and watch the waves, when we were there the waves were huge, plus I brought binoculars and we saw whales everyday. 2 of the bedrooms have a deck so you don't even have to go up stairs to watch the waves. The kitchen has all the equipment you need and is enjoyable to cook in. We were in the pool just about everyday, it was so relaxing. I do hope you like chickens though cause you get woke up to roosters everyday, I enjoyed it, my husband not so much. You are about an hour away from city life including Pearl Harbor, which was fine it just means you get to see more of the island. The house says there is a high chair but there isn't but there is a playpen which was even better. I had major health problems last year and needed to change our dates and Steve couldn't have been more helpful, which I so appreciated. Would I come here again, in a heartbeat, but next time I would stay longer.
We spent 9 days at this beautiful house. There were 11 family members from ages 1 1/2 years to 82 years old. Beds were comfortable, there were 2 lanais. Steve is friendly and helpful. House was clean and the two washing machines and two dryers were nice since our group of 6 adults and 5 children kept them working.
This property worked out great for our group which was a college golf team. The large home with its many bedrooms and bathrooms allowed for all to get a good night's rest. The location is very handy to many of the hot spots and beaches on the north shore. We prepared most of our evening meals at the house and the kitchen is large and spacious and has everything you need. Also, the grocery store is a 5 minute drive (when there isn't traffic) which was nice.
There is no A/C anywhere in the house, which I know is pretty normal for homes and condos in Hawaii but coming home from our competitions each afternoon to a hot, humid house wasn't perfect. That being said, it always cooled off nicely at night and everyone slept very well and there were no complaints about that. The pool got some use and was a great way to refresh ourselves after a long day. The complimentary internet came in handy. We didn't have any problems or maintenance issues during our stay, but my communications with Steve the manager and his on-site maintenance man (who was there for a brief period when we arrived) made me feel confident that had any problems come up, they would have been on top of it. This home is perfect for a large family, an extended family get together, several couples travelling together, a group of friends, or a small group or team like ours. When we return in a couple years it's likely we will rent the same home again. It couldn't have worked out better.
This house is in a great location with Ocean view!!! Held our family of 11 people with no problem... Big open kitchen and living room for everyone to gather to eat or play games / watch tv. The deck that overlooks the ocean is great to sit, relax and watch the waves. Having three full and a half bathroom was very nice too. The pool was super clean and refreshing after a long day out and about. Tv and broadband internet helped to keep kids at bay while adults took some time to rest from daily adventures. Grass and landscape was manicured and beds were clean and fresh. I would highly recommend this place no matter where you want to travel in Oahu. the location is fantastic but the the property makes it that much better!!!!! Steve was also greAt to work with and made sure everything was in place for a great visit!!! Will definitely be back again.
Eight of us stayed at Alligator Rock and had plenty of room to relax. Good to know that the bedrooms are on the entry level floor, with access to the backyard, while the living area, dining, and kitchen are upstairs. Perfect location with easy access to beaches, Waimea Falls, and Hailewa. Grocery store is nearby, too. We loved the pool and especially the beautiful kitchen. Be ready for the geckos, which we found adorable! Plenty of linens and hand soap, but bring your own of everything else. Steve was a pleasure to work with and we would definitely stay here again.
