Casa Mariposa has the feeling of a real home. You can watch every perfect sunset over Bahia Banderas and the Pacific from the living room, master bedroom and terrace. The location is ideal for people who want culture and character as distinct from ubiquitous resort living. The condo is rich with original art. The property is exclusive and friendly with 6 units. This neighborhood is where people who know Vallarta come to live. Maid service is included.
Artist, Page Pearson Railsback teaches painting classes and workshops in Puerto Vallarta. Her original art decorates the condo and is available for sale.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2007
Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful ,friendly town offering ocean, mountains, art, great food and lovely people
This property is in a 6 unit building that is private and secure. It is located in the beautiful old part of the city, has a magnificent view of the bay and is close to everything 'original' in PV as well as the best restaurants and Los Muertos beach. Add the rooftop terrace and pool and, well, you have it all. The condo is filled with original art.
Good morning Page,
A note to tell you we had a great time in your wonderfull condo..very well situated and good restaurants all around.
We also had the opportunity to do a bit of cardio exercises.
I will not hesitate to refer your condo to anybody.
By the way we also had a 'private' swimmimg pool and beautifull patio at our disposition.
Christina was a great host, Isabel was efficient and the grounds very well kept.
The intense constant heat forced us to relax more(siesta every afternoon, or almost)
Thank you again

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in this beautiful condo. By the last day of our trip we were trying to think of excuses to extend our stay! Everything was perfect. It was such a romantic place. From the church bells in the morning to watching the sunset over the ocean on the balcony...we loved everything about it. We'd definitely love to visit again.
Our favorite place to eat was the Mahi Beach Bar near El Dorado Hotel. The service was amazing. Definitely order the guacamole and crab tacos!!! For fine dining we loved Hacienda San Angel just blocks away from the condo.
There is so much to do in Vallarta. We loved the day trip to Marietas Island, went parasailing, zip lining and horseback riding! On more relaxing days we walked around town and explored. There are great spas that except walk-ins for inexpensive massage! Whether you're looking for adventure or a relaxing get away I'd highly recommend booking Casa Mariposa!
This is my third stay in this wonderful condo and I've been ruined for all other accommodations in Puerto Vallarta. I just can't imagine staying anywhere else.
The view of the ocean/bay is nothing short of amazing - and ever present. The living/dining room and master bedroom are filled with the view. It's not like other "ocean view" places where you have to stand on a chair in a certain corner to see a sliver of water. Nope. The view here is front and center. And let's face it, if you're going to stay in a beach town, you want to see the water.
Every evening but Sunday, the Marigalante sails the bay. At about 10pm, the ship will shoot off a few fireworks that you'll see from the condo even if you're not on the balcony.
The main (and iconic) church is on the next block. Step out onto the balcony and you can almost touch it. The church bells, some of which announce the time while others summon the townspeople to mass, very quickly become an endearing part of life in this condo.
The condo is spacious and very tastefully furnished/decorated. Unlike many, this condo has neither the look nor the feel of a "rental." Walk through the door and you immediately feel "at home" rather than at some sparsely furnished investment property.
Safety is a concern to everyone, myself included. The complex itself is very secure and the surrounding neighborhood is as safe as it gets anywhere on the planet. I often leave in the early morning hours while it's still dark to walk on the malecón (boardwalk). I often come home after dinner at late hours. I have never felt unsafe in this neighborhood or in the downtown area of Puerto Vallarta.
Isabel comes twice per week to help keep the condo clean. She is efficient and friendly and very helpful. Tip her. I leave her 100 pesos for each visit.
The condo is on a hill, but not at the top of the hill. When walking to the condo, the last block will provide a very small workout, but it won't kill you. Take your time. Say hello to passersby. Count the stairs or the cobblestones. Watch your step. Before you know it, you'll be a native.
Yes, I'm writing these words on my laptop here at the dining table in the condo itself. When you get here, you'll know where I was, you'll know how I felt, and you'll know that everything I've said above is only a small fraction of everything I could have said had I not been limited to 2500 characters.
I can't recommend this condo enough, but try not to book it for dates when I'll be wanting it <grin>
