Description

Arch Cape House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Falcon Cove - Seeing is believing!! This is a very tranquil neighborhood nestled in the forest about 1/2 mile from hwy. 101. The area is beautiful with not a lot of traffic or noise. There is a local herd of elk that visit frequently. This house is everything you could hope for when you visit the coast. This is a two bedroom two bath home with a nice airy open floor plan and large windows to enjoy the wonderful ocean view. The house has a reverse living design - with the bedrooms on the ground floor and the living area upstairs. The living area has a glass sliding door that provides access to a wrap-around deck with spectacular views of the ocean. The kitchen and dining area are large enough to provide for lots of entertaining. The area, located just three miles north of Oswald West State Park and Short Sands Beach, provides plenty to do with hiking trails, beach walking and surfing. At low tide there is a nice sandy beach, just a couple minute walk from the house. There is also a TV/VCR/Stereo and plenty of reading material and games. Previous guests have commented to 'what a great view there was' and 'how well you could hear the sounds of the ocean'. So whatever you choose to do, this place offers it all.

Why The Owner chose Coastal Oregon

The area is beautiful...tranquil and a must for a quiet, relaxed get-away.

What makes this house unique

If you like wildlife, nature and the out-of-doors you have picked the right place to vacation at. You are just a short walk to the beach where there are tide pools, shells and sand dollars. If you choose to sit on the deck and just enjoy the view you will often see a flock of brown pelicans fly by.

Remote Retreat

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time in this quiet, remote property tucked among the trees but with a great view of the beach. This is an ideal spot because it is easy to get to town, but you get to escape the tourist traffic. My only critique is that the owners are clearly very concerned about any damage to the house (ie. scratches to gas cooktop surface) which made me a little nervous as I was cooking. It can be a little challenging to feel at home when you are constantly being reminded by handwritten notes to be careful. But the house was well equipped and we had an excellent stay.

Owner's Response: Sorry for any concern my notes may have caused. They were written in response to prior guest questions about care and usage of several features of the house.

Great Spot

  • 5 of 5

My wife and our traveling companions were overwhelmed with the wonderful condition of the property. Super clean, spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Everything a family will need is provided. The mattresses are exceptionally comfortable. I usually have trouble sleeping in a different location the first night away from home, but not here. The views of the ocean were spectacular from the upper floor. We planned this trip around the possibility of watching a storm, our first full day gave us a preview of what could happen by providing wind, rain and a roaring ocean. The house is located close to Cannon Beach making dining out easy. The absence of Wi-Fi and Cell Phone coverage was actually a nice reprieve from our daily routines. We relaxed in front of the fireplace and read or conversed with our friends. Just like the "old days" before technology dominated our existence. I highly recommend Seabreeze to anyone desiring comfort, tranquility and contact with natural beauty. We are looking forward to returning.

Freat Find on the Oregon Coast

  • 5 of 5

SeaBreeze is a great place for family get togethers. We were a party of 4 adults, 1 toddler and 1 well behaved dog. SeaBreeze fit our needs perfectly. SeaBreeze is surrounded by tall trees on the rear side, yet the balcony and front-facing windows all have ocean views. We were most pleased that well behaved dogs were welcome; the owner has even set aside some dog-towels to dry any paws that did not get dried on the walk up from the beach.

Somewhere I saw some commentary that the beaches were small and difficult to access. Our experience was quite the opposite Looking at the beach from the water, the beach was easily a mile long – at anytime of the day. There are 3 access paths to the beach, one of which is very easy.

If you have time, we recommend you go a few miles south from Arch Cape. The town of Manzanita is quaint and worth visiting. And go a little further to the fishing and timber town of Garibaldi. You can get fresh fish and crab right off the boats in Garibaldi.

The only downside we encountered was the resort-style food that seems to be prevalent in the coastal area. We are sure there is fine cuisine to be had in this area; we just did not find it.

All in all, SeaBreeze is a great place to stay.

WE LOVED OUR STAY AT SEABREEZE!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful week staying at Seabreeze. We loved the view of the ocean from all the large windows. We could not stop staring at the beautiful waves during the day and at night watching the lights from the boats out on the water. We slept like babies each night after visiting the dam at the Dalles, Multnomah Falls and hiking to the top of the falls. We visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory and the Air Museum, and especially loved the rock formation of Haystack, as well as, the beautiful large and wide sandy beaches of Cannon Beach. We love Cannon Beach and never tire of visiting this fun, beautiful city! My husband may disagree with me, but I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED that there was not a TV in each and every room. When I go on vacation I do not want electronics taking away the time that can be spent with each other and taking away the enjoyment of the beautiful view which surrounds me. Thank you for sharing your beautiful, comfortable and convenient property with us so we could enjoy a piece of paradise!

A Great Find!

  • 5 of 5

This is a very wonderful diamond in the ruff. This house sits in a very wooded area but with great sun exposure. The sunset may be viewed from the deck. It has protection from both north and south winds. The view is fantastic! When the tide is out a incredible beach is a couple of hundred feet away. If you desire to be away from all the activity of Seaside and Cannon Beach this is the place. If you do plan to head that way its just a few minutes drive.

The beds are great and the floor plan is well thought out.

3 Generation Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My 89 year-old father, 20 year-old son and I experienced two days of multi-generational family bonding. The "Seashore" house was roomy and comfortable for all. The sunset ocean views were beautiful. We loved the well-stocked kitchen with plenty of space to prepare meals together. Owner David, was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!

A herd of elk visits the neighborhood frequently munching on the plants and grass. Also, there is a protected eagles nest on Cape Falcon.

This is a newer house that has been kept up very well. The open living room and kitchen are very light and airy. There is new living room furniture. In addition to the two bedrooms - both with queen beds - there are two twin aero beds.
