Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6).

Our Sea Lodge is located directly on the beach along the North Side of Grand Cayman in beautiful Cayman Kai, a secluded tranquil, friendly and safe area.

It is beachfront property with a beautiful sea view that goes from turquoise to deep sapphire. It is protected by a coral reef 200 yards out and provides us great snorkeling whether you are a beginner or an avid snorkeler. Swimming is great in the sparkling, crystal-clear water. Our pristine beach has beautiful sand and is enticing to take a nice walk, relax in the wonderful sun, or build great sand castles. It is never crowded and is very private and peaceful providing that secluded island feeling.

Attractively furnished, two bedroom unit with king size beds in each bedroom each with own newly renovated bath. Our sea lodge sleeps 4 but 2 air mattresses with pumps provided if needed for two children or other guest. Also great for sleeping out under the stars on the screened seaside porch.

About The Owner

Recently purchased from a lovely couple who have owned the unit since 1985. We enjoy beach life and snorkeling.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2014

Why The Owner chose Grand Cayman

We had spent many years traveling to Mexico, but after having a child, wanted a safer place. We fell in love with the Cayman people, the beautiful water, snorkeling, and diving. The pristine beach and quiet location make for a great get a way that is just an hour from Miami and under three hours from Houston. The English speaking island is very clean with a low crime rate, no poverty and currency fixed to the US Dollar. The weather is great all year.

What makes this condo unique

Our unit is the only 2 bedroom Sea Lodge that is directly beachfront. We're on the corner, so the beach feels very private!

Summer Sale - Stay 7 nights and just pay for 6! May through October 2016 only.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We are so happy for your recent purchase of Sea Lodge 23. My brother and sister-in-law along with my husband have been enchanted with Grand Cayman Island. The water is by far the most beautiful of all the Caribbean! Lunch at Morgan’s Point Harbor was a favorite. Tukka and Rum Point bars have great food and drinks. Kaibo BBQ was fun with rum punches on Tuesday night. We had our fair share! Stin Ray City was fabulous and highly recommended. The lodge is a sweet beach stay and we leave very rested and relaxed. It will be difficult to re-enter the cold reality that awaits us. The sound of the waves will be a wonderful memory. We are pleased to be your guests and will be back!! Good Luck.

Fantastic lodging and location for those who like a simple out of the way place. Gorgeous reef and breeze.

Accommodations are a charming and have just the amenities you need for a tranquil escape to the Caribbean. The condo structure and layout is a clever design for privacy, natural ventilation and no bugs. Very much appreciated the helpfulness and information provided by the owner.

I have been to Grand Cayman a couple other times, but this was by far my favorite time and it had a lot to do with where we stayed! We absolutely LOVED our time at SeaRendipity! Even in the end of June the weather was so nice we were able to leave the windows and doors open to enjoy the island breeze for the first few nights. Our power went out one night in the middle of the week and Ed and Barbara were so accommodating to do anything they could to help us with getting it fixed very quickly! Other than that one small bump in the road, everything else was magical! The snorkeling right out in front was awesome and I think I have found my new "happy place" I am going to in my mind! Thank you so much for such an incredible place for an incredible vacation! We are hoping to return to your getaway as soon as possible!!!

Owner's Response: Courtney (and family), Thank you so much for the warm words and taking time out of your day to write a review. We were happy to open our home up to you and welcome you back any time. We are definitely lucky to have someone like Barbara who waited up for the power company to come out and fix the meter. Ed & Ianthe.

Paradise Found

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful vacation at SeaRendipity! Very nice neighborhood and a great area of the island if you want to relax and kick back with less traffic and secluded beaches, yet have access to activities nearby. From your cottage, you can walk or take a short drive to Rum Point for jet ski rentals, boat excursions, lunch or to snorkel on a different beach. Close to Rum Point is Kaibo Yacht Club for food, fun and music. There is a small grocery store, a liquor store and a gas station a short drive away. Another very close restaurant we liked was Over the Edge. We recommend a car so you can sightsee around the whole island and visit the shops & larger grocery stores on 7 mile but you'll be happy to return to your little slice of paradise!

The Sea Lodges are a group of cottages that were built in an amazing design allowing every one of them to have gorgeous views. You get the community feel of neighbors but because of the unique layout you have privacy. SeaRendipity is an end unit which gave us a "bonus" window in one bedroom and an extra wide open view on the west side of our Oceanside porch. We visited just the two of us but this two bedroom / two bath layout is perfect for couples. Each bedroom has its own ocean view and own doors opening to both the screened porches. That was another thing we loved - screened porches on both the front and back! We've never stayed at a place that felt so open and fresh, as you can open the louvers on the doors and let the breeze blow through. We used the A/C in the bedroom the first night to acclimate but after that we enjoyed the sound of the ocean and the fresh air. Internet signal was great for keeping in touch with the "real" world when we needed to and Netflix worked well, although we only watched it once as the porches, stars and ocean are too good to miss. Obviously too many great things to mention! Ed & Ianthe were quick to respond to every question and provided so much detail we felt like we'd been there before. Miss Barbara is close by if you need anything. We highly recommend SeaRendipity!

Old time Caribbean beach cottage!!

  • 5 of 5

Just spent a week at SeaRendipity and it was way better than I hoped. Right on the beach with warm sea breezes and fabulous sunrises. We snorkeled every day. Lots of beautiful reef fish, stingrays, turtles, coral, fans, and even a spotted eagle ray!

The cottage was clean and very well equipped. It felt like the Caribbean of 50 years ago.

If your looking for a peaceful, quiet, and romantic destination, this is it. Watching the stars is so much better than watching screens.

Dining on the seaside lanai was terrific!

Ed made the entire process easy and was always accessible.

I definitely recommend this property for your beach vacation!

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

We loved the closeness to the beach, the view of the water and sky, the breeze... On days we stayed around Rum Point there were restaurants and activities nearby. When we went to George Town or Seven Mile Beach, the drive wasn't as bad as we thought it might be, but we were very glad our cottage was far away from the cruise ships and the traffic. For snorkelers, SeaRendipity has plenty of room to dry out your gear, and the washer & dryer is a great bonus too. Overall, a very relaxing 12 days with plenty of access to lots of good snorkel beaches. After seeing most of the island we remained quite happy we picked this unit. The owners are very responsive to their guests' questions and comments. The kitchen isn't huge and the unit is not luxurious, but the location is why you're there. We'd rent it again if we return to Grand Cayman.

Wonderful setting, very nice and clean house, perfect setting

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at SeaRendipity during January. Everything was perfect. Ed sent us detailed information about the property, what to do when we got there and who to call if we needed any assistance. Directions and recommendations were very helpful and appreciated. The property is just as it is described and how it shows in the pictures. We spent many hours on the screened porch watching the sunrise, listening to the waves, enjoying our cup of coffee in the morning and then at night eating our dinner and viewing the moon and numerous stars. Rum Point is one of our favorite places and it was so nice to be able to walk there from SeaRendipity. The house itself is very well stocked, is incredibly clean and has a layout that is perfect when traveling with another couple. Thank you Ed. We hope to return.
