This property offers every outdoor experience you could dream of. Hiking, boating, fishing, biking, nature watching. It is an all encompassing experience that offers many beautiful, quiet moments in nature. It is also very convenient to travel to from the metro Detroit area. Get the up north feel without the 4 hour drive.
Sitting on the deck and watching the water and wildlife is beautiful. We also enjoy kayaking, boating, and fishing. The front yard is just as amazing with the wildlife roaming the corn field and private lane. Ask about Weekly Rates.
This rental is a great place. The home is clean and the location is so convenient! Great area with many things to do. The waterfront is gorgeous. Every day we see a different set of animals. Deer, ducks, swans. The private road is so nice and provides you with lots of peace and quiet. The price is reasonable, and the property manager was very accommodating.
just like home, well stocked. orioles can't get enough welchs grape jelly. river is always interesting even in winter. shopping and antiquing nearby. many reasonable hearty and delicious restaurants local.
Riverfront house on quiet, leafy cul-de-sac, surrounded by farmland. Had a great time eating on the scenic deck, canoeing on the river, exploring the lakes/beaches/towns in the area. But besides the location, this was one of our worst VRBO eperiences. The basement (where two of three bedrooms are) smelled strongly like dog and masking perfume. The cheesy koi pond had a decaying dead rat floating around. Dead bird in the grass. The bbq grill was completely out of propane. Worst part though, the feeling that the "property manager" stingily hovered. Despite the place being empty at least one day beforehand, and us politely asking to check-in even slightly early, she "cleaned" right until the 3pm check-in (and her email says she reserves the right to clean until 5pm if need be). THEN SHE ARRIVED AT 9:45am (!) FOR THE 10am CHECKOUT AND WATCHED US PACK THE CAR!!! Not to mention the VRBO listing says 11am checkout, but her emails demand 10am or lose hundreds of dollars! Half a grand + fees for barely a day and a half, with not a minute of grace period? Along with the smells and dead animals, kinda ruined the beautiful location.
Lovely, lovely home. The pictures do not really do it justice. We had a great time and loved being in the home. Great location, out of the way, but very close to a Walmart, Target, VG's (24 hours), etc. My only advice to anyone visiting the home is to do a thorough inventory before you go out and buy anything. We found so many things left behind in the nooks and crannies of the house and realized that we didn't have to purchase quite a few things. For example, my family left plenty of toilet paper, laundry detergent, spices, coffee, to last quite a while.
What can I say that hasn't already been said? It's an immaculate property in a beautiful setting. I look forward to my next stay (which will be my 3rd).
The photos do not do this place justice! The house is way better in person, The only loud noise is the train that comes by one a day maybe, but other than that, this house was amazing and I can't wait to rent it again next year!
Enjoy beautiful days on our 30 foot waterfront deck. Property includes many mature trees, making it beautiful during the fall. Enjoy our amazingly serene property with wildlife in abundance.
