We were raised in southwest Montana. After living at Stanford and Palo Alto, California for several years we moved back to the northwest to raise our five children. We have lived in Portland, Oregon for 30 years. Our family loves to travel and learn of other cultures and countries around the world. We also appreciate everything Oregon has to offer residents as well as vacation travelers. We love to fish, hike, hunt, golf, visit the beach, enjoy the mountains or the high desert country of Central Oregon.
Owner purchased this Lodge in 2003
Why Owner chose Tillamook
Because we grew up in the Rocky Mountains of Montana we have an appreciation for the forested mountains and the log homes found in Montana. When we found this 7000 sq. foot log home on 20 acres in the Tillamook State Forest we decided we couldn't pass it up. The area offers everything we were hoping for. It's close to the beach, hiking, river fishing, ocean fishing, hunting, wineries, golf, and wildlife.

Our extended family rented the lodge for several days this past summer (2016) for our annual family reunion. All the grandchildren want to come back--declaring it the best place yet!! And it was. The owners were remarkably gracious and accommodating for our crew of 20+. No one felt cramped. The accommodations, down to the last detail, were amazing! The rooms are so people and crowd friendly. The grounds are lovely. The easily accessible Wilson River is spectacular. And Oceanside and relatively nearby Tillamook produced pictures and memories to last a lifetime. Thank you so much. It's well worth the investment--a work of art, but so much fun.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
We stayed here the days prior to and night of our family-friendly wedding: 8 adults, 2 toddlers, and plenty of room to spread out! Each bedroom is essentially its own suite, plus all the bonus rooms (living, dining, huge kitchen with everything you could need, pool table, media room, sauna, hot tub, jacuzzi, and outdoor decks galore). So, yes, the house is big and beautiful! It was also clean, and Becki made us feel completely at home. We are already planning a family reunion. This bride could not have been happier!
It was our pleasure to host your wedding party.
We look forward to a return visit.
Thank you very much.
We had an amazing stay at the Lodge with our large family...Everything was absolutely perfect and every detail was thought of....The weather was in the 80's every day...Thank you Becki
An amazing place
The lodge is absolutely my favorite getaway in the entire Northwest. Two years in a row I've gone with a group of friends and we've reminisced about the memories every month in between visits, and have unanimously agreed it's meant to be an annual tradition.
The home is in the middle of the woods and extremely secluded. In a lot of ways the pictures don't do it justice - the home is gorgeous and huge, extremely well taken care of and clean. The hot tub and sauna are great, lots of lawn space for games during the day, and the kitchen is a dream to cook in. All of the rooms are large and all of the beds are super comfortable.
Plus, Becki is a great hostess, super friendly and responsive and makes sure you have everything you need!
The only caution I can think of is that getting up the gravel road can be a bit tricky.
Wonderful Family Vacation!
Our large family had a fantastic time in this beautiful log home. It is even more beautiful that the photos. The owner, Becki, was so kind and gave us lots of information about the area and services to help make our family vacation all the better. The property was beautiful and plenty of space for games, hot tubing, hiking or just relaxing on the several porches. The house is nicely furnished with everything we could want. The rooms were so tastefully done and very spacious with plenty of comfortable roll a way beds when we need even more for our large family.
This wonderful home made our family vacation even more special. Our time there was in the middle of a draught and the owner brought up more water and checked to make sure all our needs were being met which they were.
We would certainly recommend this home and wonderful owners to one and all.
This was by far the best place in the entire US that we have ever rented for a family get together. The owner had everything supplied for us that we could ever have dreamed of needing! The beds were super comfortable. The grounds were perfect! We couldn't find one week (and we looked)! There were chairs and benches all over the property for quiet times of reading of visiting. The outdoor fireplace was a real plus for late night wine and cheese parties. Everything was first class--the towels, the dishes, the decorations, the furniture. You can't go wrong with this place!
