Nestled in the rolling foothills of the Smokies and only minutes to the 'Parkway' in action-packed Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Located in the private and gated community of Shagbark, ''All American'' is a luxurious 2 bedroom, 3 bath cabin, comfortably accommodating up to eight people that will exceed your expectations. Shagbark has a 24-hour staffed security gate and is located in the heart of the Waldens Creek area.

The 'All American' cabin is exquisitely furnished and decorated with just the right amount of antique furnishings and patriotic touches. You will enter through the dining area, with seating for six (eight with an extended table), finding the spacious eat-in kitchen to your right, which seats an additional four guests.

The huge kitchen is fully equipped for your convenience. Adjoining the dining area is the living area, with its twenty-two foot ceiling towering above the stone faced gas fireplace affording plenty of comfort for lazily enjoying a nice fire and an incredible view of the mountains. A desktop PC with Internet access and WiFi are also provided. Behind the living area is a bedroom containing a queen sized bed and a satellite and VCR equipped TV. The bedroom has a full bathroom with shower with a full size washer and dryer hidden behind folding doors. Across the living area is a cozy reading nook with pull-out couch which is stocked with over seventy books making it perfect for spending a relaxing and quiet afternoon. A separate full bath is located adjacent.

The mammoth master suite is located on the upper level and has a king size bed that lies beneath a thirteen foot ceiling. A twelve foot long window and pair of french doors also allows you to view the mountains from bed.

A forty inch, satellite equipped TV is provided. A large closet and separate dressing room provide ample storage, and the jetted tub in the adjoining master bath is simply divine.

For entertainment, you may prefer an invigorating competition at pool or Foosball located in the loft on the upper level. Or you can relax in the surround sound equipped theater room watching one of the many movies provided. Don't forget the popcorn! A view of the Smoky Mountains is visible from most areas of the cabin. Your entertainment choice may be viewing the mountains in the National Park, or gazing up at the stars through the telescope provided, or simply viewing either from the soothing enjoyment of the 6 person hot tub on the deck. The tub is a great way to relax after a busy day hiking at the park, enjoying one of the many attractions nearby or a day of shopping in town. Whatever your dream getaway experiences are, you can enjoy them all in All American fashion!

Great stay at the All American, only minor issues

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay at the cabin! We attended with 8 guests from 3/11/2017-3/16/2017. Sleeping arrangements were okay- the bedrooms were nice, but the pull out couches were not overly comfortable. Would not recommend more than 6 guests, otherwise you will have to double up on the pull outs or sleep on couches. The cabin was in great shape upon our arrival with plenty of sheets, pillows, and towels for all 8 of us. The kitchen is fully equipped and even has a trash compactor. We did bring our own crock pot for crock pot meals- and thank goodness we did, the small one at the cabin did not have a power cord. Otherwise, we had everything we needed in the kitchen (we brought our own food/spices). The grill came in handy, but the boys said it was pretty weak and didn't cook super well. The bedrooms and bathrooms were fantastic, and the boys loved the theater room! Giving 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons- the internet was very slow and didn't work well for most of our trip, and the hot tub broke down during our stay. It broke on Monday evening, and a repairman was sent out, supposed to arrive Tuesday morning, but he did not arrive until Tuesday evening. The hot tub was fixed, but then took another 12 hours to warm back up to usable temperature, so we were not able to use the tub from Monday evening to Wednesday morning, which was disappointing as we were only there Saturday-Thursday morning. We were not offered compensation for the broken tub, either (it was not our fault it broke down). Overall though, a great experience. The view is beautiful- and faces west, so we were able to watch the sunrise over the mountains. The drive up to the cabin can be a little scary for anyone uncomfortable with narrow, steep roads, but isn't bad once you get used to it. (About a 10 minute drive from the gate at the bottom to the cabin). We easily fit 3 cars in the driveway, but would not recommend a fourth unless you plan on not leaving often. There are neighbors, but the cabin to the left didn't have any guests, and the cabin to our right is pretty well blocked by a fence near the hot tub. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away, but still be close enough to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg to make daily trips to do things in town. Loved doing things in the area- zip lining, mountain coaster, wine/whiskey/moonshine tastings. Had a great vacation!

Better than I expected...and I expected a lot!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was a huge hit with our whole family and was one of the main things to help make our vacation as memorable as it ended up being! We loved it here and it felt like home. The kitchen is equipped with quality items so even making meals was a treat. We spent quite a bit of time in the loft playing pool with the kids. The theater room was very cool, but would have been better if we could've gotten the VHS player to hook up to the tv, the movies in DVD were limited& our kids are age ranged 10-22. I think there were 2 that my 10 y.o. boy wanted to see, ghostbusters and Adams familyand we had a rain day to fill. Would have been more fun playing apples to apples or watching a movie like Harry potter or the Indiana jones movies and eating popcorn together. Next time I would also bring board games because the scrabble game had a lot of parts missing so it had limited play too. The wifi and computer was a huge plus so we could look up and research things we needed. The driveway is rocked angled down from the road and comes out on a curve. We needed to use 4wd to get out of the drive. I let my husband drive all the time as the mountain roads made me nervous, some corners/turners were hairpin turns. Being in a gated community was a plus, it created a safe feeling in a new area. The deck in the morning was my favorite place to read my bible and drink my coffee. The hot tub was also a hit. We used it 3of the 4 nights. Other than these small details that I would change next time, bringing movies and games, and if they would black top the driveway would help a lot too. The beds were extremely comfortable! Another plus for us was that there was no tv in the living room. I think too many people watch too much tv and it might be too tempting to hang out and sit in front of the tv instead of actually doing things together and communicating with each other. We banned the girls cell phones while we were there so we could focus on our family time instead of having their minds off with bfs and friends back home. I did the research to find this house and I was extremely pleased at my choice. I would love to come back again and again and again! Thank you for opening making this a rental to become a temporary home for others to make memories in!

What a wonderful time we had at the All American cabin! The description was right on and accommodations were perfect. Just the right amount of space for 4 adults and 2 tweens. Make sure your brakes on your vehicle are in good shape as the drive up and down can be steep at times. The guard shack was helpful in giving directions and always waved as we left or came back. Rebecca was very helpful with issues that came up during and after the storm we had even late at night. We will have memories that'll last forever! Thank you!!

Great Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have never been to the Smoky Mountains, let alone booked any kind of rental over the internet. I was a little nervous about what it would be like when we arrived. It was everything I hoped for and even more. Sometimes it's hard to travel with six people and not only was the price right, it had a lot of room for all of us. The view was amazing. There is one house you can see from the deck, but no one lives there so it didn't matter to us:) The kids loved the pool table. My teenager hung out a lot in the theater room (that was stocked with movies). We had a bbq one night (using the grill) and enjoyed everyone's company. Like the previous renters stated, the drive to the home was a little scary, but you get use to it. Very close to Pigeon Forge (like 5-10 minutes away) and about (15-20 minutes) from Gatlinburg. The Old Mill Pottery House and Café in Pigeon Forge had amazing food a beautiful area to sit outside and eat. We also enjoyed the Titanic museum and had a wonderful time walking around downtown Gatlinburg. We will definitely be back and have also recommended this home rental to some of our friends:)

More than we could ever have asked for. Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Being as this was our first family trip to the smoky mountains, we wanted the true mountain cabin experience. Boy did we get it. The all american cabin was just perfect. Our kids loved the hot tub, the pool table and watching movies in the theatre room. I would set my alarm every morning to see the amazing sunrise off the back deck.

I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone. The pictures on the web do not do it justice. I hope to return in the future and spend more time there.

Loves the cabin , hot tub needed to be cleaned , house keeping needs to do a better job if renters have to pay $115 for them to clean all the dishes and pots and pans were put away dirty had to rewash them all driveway and road were awful hard to get out the view, theater room and Internet was the best thing about the cabin . We had a wonderful time even had a really nice day( 73) and loved the grill. Will definitely be back maybe not in that cabin but will definitely stay again.
