Good position a short walk from the centre
Check-in process was smooth - a quick call when we collected our luggage at the airport and a representative was waiting for us when we reached the apartment to let us in and explain everything. The flat looks exactly as it does on the listing and was clean. Making up the beds was a quick job but I would agree with other posters that you would not normally expect to have to do this - we have stayed in other HomeAway properties and have never been asked to do this before. Regarding the flat itself: in one of the bedrooms there is a table with metal legs and a glass top. In the pictures it looks pretty cool, but in fact the glass top is just placed on top of the legs and is not attached in any way. This is potentially quite dangerous as it could easily have been knocked off, so we didn’t use this at all. As the previous poster stated, the windows are quite dirty and haven’t been cleaned for some time and the apartment generally is a bit tired e.g the table is chipped, side tables are worn and the sliding doors are stiff and very difficult to open. During the hot weather we experienced this made the flat unpleasantly warm at times. When we finally got out on to the balcony, we discovered a for sale sign on the flat which might explain why it seems a bit run-down. There’s no balcony furniture which is a shame as during the lovely weather we experienced, it would have been nice to sit outside. Although the flat was clean on the surface, the shelves in the wardrobes were very dusty and I had to clean these before we could use them. Some of the cupboards also contain random broken objects that should really be cleared out. Once the blinds are closed, it was difficult to reach the cord to open them again - luckily my husband is 6’2” but a shorter person would struggle. On the positive side, the flat is in a great position, very close to the water at Islands Brygge if you want to just sit in the sun and relax. It is just around the corner from a supermarket and a great bakery which makes the most fantastic bread and pastries - we visited it most days. There are also pizza and Thai take away just around the corner. The city is very walkable with some sights (Tivoli, Radhus, train station etc.) just a 10 minute walk away and the key sites easy to reach. The flat was fine but unlike other HomeAway properties we’ve used, it is not a home, is managed by a company and provides the minimum of basic necessities (1 dishwasher tablet?) to use
I still don't understand why this apartment located close to city center in nice residential complex appeared to be largely neglected. The windows have not been cleaned for a long time, one bed was highly infested with bed bugs.

The apartment was ideally situated, good access to buses and metro. Shower and facilities very good - washing machine, drier, dishwasher, comfy beds etc The apartment was comfortable and in a quiet location with plenty of take aways nearby. The reasons we didn't give five stars is lack of mugs/glasses, having to make our beds on arrival and been unable to leave our luggage on the day of departure apart from at the the main office which was at the other side of Copenhagen .

Pleasant stay! The apartment was fully equipped with everything you need for staying in 4 people: lot of space, wide furnitures, cooking appliances. Really silent (were the other apartments maybe empty?), clean and modern.
