About W Wood
I have lived in Northern New Mexico for over 15 years after spending almost 20 in Paris, France (yes, I speak French :-) ). I have a degree in architecture and design and have also dabbled professionally in Land Art. I have tried to make Casa Paloma not only aesthetically pleasing, but a true "respite" for recharging our batteries in our busy world!
W Wood purchased this Condo in 2008
Why W Wood chose Taos
All of our guests have loved Casa Paloma and many come back as regulars. Often they'll tell me that they loved being in the casa so much that they'd eat and relax at home instead of going out! Guests also love the numerous artwork throughout the casa, many done by members of my family (wonderful artists!). The reviews in our Guestbook say it all!
What makes this Condo unique
At Casa Paloma, you will truly feel the 'peacefulness' of this lovely home. Walk in the door and relax in a soothing yet sophisticated decor. It is beautiful and yet very cozy! Enjoy the private patio with its hot tub and little garden complete with flowers, grass (except when covered by snow!), a tree and view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. A private quiet peaceful hidden get-away, yet close to stores, restaurants, etc. Even the UPS man was surprised at how we are in the center of town and yet hidden away!

Everything Better Than Advertised
We arrived at Las Palomas well before the 4 PM check-in time and all was ready for us. All was spic-and-span. The availability of air-conditioning was a blessing. We were able to settle right in comfortably. Our little dog was welcome, he loved the place. Groceries were available a block away (Albertson's). In all we could not have had a better experience and we shall surely consider Las Palomas the next time we visit Taos. Steve and Marva Tripp, Shenandoah, Texas
Cozy, peaceful condo
Property was exactly as advertised. Very clean with everything one could need. Very cozy and quiet. Winton answered all questions before our stay.
Great place in Taos
My daughter and I and our two dogs had a lovely time in Taos. The place was perfect for us. Very comfortable and the yard is small but it’s lovely and was a perfect place to relax with the dogs.
Felt like home
Easy check-in. Well stocked in pots, toiletries, blankets, paper towels, etc in a way that made such sense and no scrimping! Easy to settle into and very nicely done. Close to town. Best experience to date. Feel calm and inspired!
Great stay at Casa Paloma
We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Paloma. The home is a little out of the way, just south west of the plaza but very quiet and peaceful. The two bathrooms made getting ready in the morning a breeze. Our dogs loved the backyard. We will definitely be back.
Home away from home!!
VERY comfortable, well-stocked: Winton, you thought of everything! We loved it and if we hadn't decided to move to Taos, we certainly would have planned to stay there more times in the future!!! 5+ stars!!!!
Considered 'sacred' by many of the residents, Taos Mountain is a world-class ski resort. Taos has a rich history and cultural heritage, with numerous galleries, museums and festivals you can walk to from Casa Paloma. You'll love this place!
