About W Wood
I have lived in Northern New Mexico for over 15 years after spending almost 20 in Paris, France (yes, I speak French :-) ). I have a degree in architecture and design and have also dabbled professionally in Land Art. I have tried to make Casa Paloma not only aesthetically pleasing, but a true "respite" for recharging our batteries in our busy world!
W Wood purchased this Condo in 2008
Why W Wood chose Taos
All of our guests have loved Casa Paloma and many come back as regulars. Often they'll tell me that they loved being in the casa so much that they'd eat and relax at home instead of going out! Guests also love the numerous artwork throughout the casa, many done by members of my family (wonderful artists!). The reviews in our Guestbook say it all!
What makes this Condo unique
At Casa Paloma, you will truly feel the 'peacefulness' of this lovely home. Walk in the door and relax in a soothing yet sophisticated decor. It is beautiful and yet very cozy! Enjoy the private patio with its hot tub and little garden complete with flowers, grass (except when covered by snow!), a tree and view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. A private quiet peaceful hidden get-away, yet close to stores, restaurants, etc. Even the UPS man was surprised at how we are in the center of town and yet hidden away!

Sweet Little Taos Condo
Looking for a nice, quiet condo to relax in and take in all Taos has to offer? This is it! This is a little beauty of a 2 bdrm, 2 bath condo; very well appointed and nicely stocked with all the comforts of home. We made breakfast each morning (but no other meals), but any utensil you might need to make lunch or dinner is provided. It is kind of in a strange area, but tucked back away from the major road through town and was very quiet. No mountain view, but our plans were to hike in the Taos Ski Valley, so the view from the condo wasn’t that important to us. The condo is only a short 3-5 minute drive to the Plaza, shopping, restaurants, and art galleries, and the Albertson’s grocery store is a short walk away.
We really enjoyed our stay at Winton’s condo. We came to hike, but also to just relax and read and decompress from work.
Thanks, Winton, for a lovely, comfortable stay!

Exceptional value! Magical little condo.
We loved our one-week stay in Casa Paloma!! It was perfect for the two of us - a single guy and gal each requiring our own bedroom and bath! We enjoyed the back patio, the convenience to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. We are mature adults from Denver area, Colorado who were participating in a Regional Bridge tournament held at the Sagebrush Inn in Taos. We appreciated the convenience of being able to park immediately in front of the condo (and no steps to deal with). It was special to be able to turn on the fireplace in early mornings and evenings. We hope Casa Paloma will be available next year when we return to the Taos Regional tournament. It was perfect for us! Thank you Winton for sharing the magic.
Book it without hesitation. This is the BEST place to stay.
Short Taos stsy
Property was as advertised. Very clean. Close to the plaza. Host was very nice. Didn’t make use of all that was available (such as the hot tub) but a perfectly comfortable space.
The house is cute as a bug and so well appointed. Roomy and comfortable.
We loved the property!! Would like to have had a view, because we love to sit outside and have our coffee or wine, but you cannot have everything and everything was just great!!
Casa Paloma is in a very quiet location with a small back yard where we could relax. We enjoyed the Southwestern decor and were very comfortable there. Winton was helpful when we needed her assistance. It was an overall great place and we will probably come back if possible.
Considered 'sacred' by many of the residents, Taos Mountain is a world-class ski resort. Taos has a rich history and cultural heritage, with numerous galleries, museums and festivals you can walk to from Casa Paloma. You'll love this place!
