Perfect for families!! This darling three bedroom, one bath cottage with bright decor is just 1/2 block from the sand in the Pierpont neighborhood. It is just one lane away from Marina Park which features a large children's' playground, pirate ship, and rope pulley. The house is walking distance from shopping and restaurants. Ventura Harbor, gateway to Channel Islands National Park, is 2.76 miles from the house. The historic Ventura Pier is 2.79 miles north along well maintained bike and walking paths.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, and everything you will need to enjoy your stay. The front and rear yards are completely fenced with a lovely front garden and spacious back yard. The back yard features a table with six chairs, umbrella, and fire pit - perfect for roasting marshmallows.
The house has three bedrooms - 1 King, 1 Queen, and 1 with two sets of bunk beds. Beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys provided. Linens - sheets & towels - are provided. Free wireless internet in the house.

We had a great time in this home and loved going to bed to the sounds of the waves and wandering the neighborhood to local restaurants, bars and the beach. The dog loved roaming along the beach and we enjoyed the backyard and well equipped kitchen. The place is small and while we wished for a dining table, everything was cozy and as described and clean. To top it off- when we forgot my husband's medicine in the bathroom, the owner was amazing and mailed it back to us. Thank you and we will stay again. Recommend!
My family enjoyed the beach house. We loved the colors in the house and that it was so close to the park as well as the beach. We will definitely come stay again .
The cottage was as advertised. Very clean, however the front door handle from the inside was broken. . .this made getting out very difficult, and certainly a fire hazard if not fixed. (I notified the owner, and hopefully they will fix it). The beds were comfortable, and plenty of towels. The kitchen has all of the cooking utensils and pots and pans to cook meals. There is salt and pepper and even Lawry's Seasoned Salt in the cupboard.
I was somewhat concerned how we would get into the unit, and wasn't notified until an hour prior to our arrival. It would be nice to know this information maybe a day in advance, or at least of a time when that information would be provided. There is wifi at the property. We had to contact the owner to find out what the code was. There is a way to provide this information on the property page, so a customer can find it in the HomeAway app. I may also suggest to tell the customers to bring their own bar of soap for the shower, as there was only soft soap in the sink dispensers. No big deal, but if I knew that, I would have brought some from home.
There is a Von's grocery story nearby, and a excellent Sports Bar close by. I use Yelp to find great places to eat, and wasn't disappointed.
Would I stay here again? YES! Overall a good experience and a great location.
This was the first time I used HomeAway. My biggest surprise was the large sum deposit needed 30 days prior to our stay. It is understandable to have a deposit, but because of my credit card billing cycle, I had to pay up front a bigger chunk of cash than I was expecting. May I suggest a 10 day prior deposit, or just getting a credit authorization in case damage to the unit was done. We left the unit on the 23rd, and did not receive a credit until the 29th, so in total... I was out a large sum for 39 days. There has got to be a better way to handle the deposit. Maybe it is just industry standard, I don't know.

This darling cottage was perfect! Walked the 1/2 block to the beach everyday.....went to the park.... shops & restaurants only 6 blocks away. The house is all set just bring your clothes and food...everything else is there! The owner was a delight to work with.....everything about our family vacation here was perfect....highly recommend it!!
