Sitting high in a secluded location on Inverness Ridge, built in 2009-10, this is a professionally designed and decorated contemporary 940 sq. foot home with full kitchen, master bedroom, upstairs sleeping loft with 2 trundle beds (Two twin beds each with a pull-out trundle with mattress), hot tub, and many luxurious extras. The most extraordinary feature of this lovely and serene home is the breathtaking view of the California coastline from Inverness to Bodega Bay.
Enjoy gorgeous sunsets and sunrises from ample upstairs and downstairs decks, living room, and master bedroom. The view fills everyone with a sense of possibility and deep calm. A great place to watch the weather roll in or listen to the lovely sounds of birdsong that waft up from the canyon below. Each window frames a portrait of Tomales Bay or ridge top forests. The property is very private, near the end of a private cul de sac, with plenty of parking. It is a short walk (.30 miles) to the Pt. Reyes National Seashore trail system. Come back from your hike or day trip to any one of many local pristine beaches and unwind on the comfortable and large window seat or extra comfy chaise-sofa.
The well-appointed master bedroom has its own deck, access to hot tub, and outdoor shower. Extremely comfortable new king size bed with Calvin Klein designer bedding in restful shades of green and grey. Very serene and the ultimate place to relax and unwind.
Kitchen is fully stocked and is furnished with top of the line appliances in case you have a gourmet cook in your group. Upstairs kids' sleeping loft. Many games & puzzles for fun family times. New Sony Bravia flat screen HDTV with blue-ray DVD system. Bose IPOD sound-dock. Wireless & unlimited telephone help you stay in touch with the outside world if you must. The house is well built, sturdy, and solid, yet has a magical feeling of floating in the treetops.
It is perfect for a romantic getaway for a couple or a fun and adventure filled time away for a small family.
Dan and Barb Easterlin. We lived on the property for several years until 1995, the year our first child was born. We love visiting Point Reyes -- the beaches, the hiking trails, the Douglas Firs and Cypress. We feel lucky to have the new cabin, perched on Inverness Ridge -- and are so happy to share it with others who might also enjoy the peaceful and restorative energy this place offers.
Dan Easterlin purchased this house in 1991
The property is adjacent to Pt. Reyes National Seashore -- many beautiful beaches, hiking trails, and wild life. We have owned the property for nearly 20 years and just built this small weekend house this year.
hiking, quiet, extraordinary views, family time, watching blu-ray movies on the new HDTV, spending time in the hot tub relaxing.
We have been coming to Point Reyes since 1990 and this is the nicest house with the most amazing view we have seen. The owners are always kind and very responsive.
Very nice house and amenities with absolutely stunning views. Situated so that you have total privacy. Great location for restaurants etc., and hiking trails nearby.
My partner and I spent two nights in this magical treehouse. Wonderful view, in great condition. It is really well equipped. The host was really helpful -- when I inquired whether there was a coffee grinder, he offered to reimburse me for one if I needed it. BUT there was already a coffee grinder there! Along with everything else we needed for a great stay. The cleanup instructions are a bit much - since we paid a cleaning fee, the need to do a load of laundry felt excessive. But as we were there to research what life in Inverness post-retirement would be like, laundry made it real.
Stayed with sig other ,friend and my sister.great places to sit and talk with each person having a view,
Nicely outfitted kitchen. We were able to cook great meals and had all of the tools needed.
Beautiful master bedroom with deck. Hot tub with great views and plenty of deck chairs.
Everything is new and very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. Made for a very special Christmas.
Sweeping views of Tomales Bay make this a winner. Best for one couple who don't mind a flight of stairs down to lower level bedroom (also with expansive deck and same amazing views), or a family with kids old enough to climb a pretty high ladder to the loft. The house has great decks and hot tub for relaxation. The kitchen has newer appliances and is well stocked for cooking. Very private setting. Gracious owner who is quick to respond to any questions. With so many vintage houses in Inverness with their older plumbing and accommodations, it was nice to stay somewhere where everything was in good working order.
We had a wonderful two nights at this perfectly sited home high above Inverness and Tomales Bay. The view from the expansive deck was unforgettable -- whether it was watching the fog lift in the morning or meander in over the bay in the evening.
The house itself was very comfortable, with plenty of cozy blankets for a cool evening and an IPod music dock, complete with an IPod full of great music! The hot tub and outdoor shower were a special treat.
And it is so nice to be just minutes away from a multitude of trailheads in the Pt Reyes National Seashore!
