A cozy urban retreat. Bright and sunny. Nicely furnished with beautiful linens and a fully appointed kitchen. Laundry is shared coin and on the same level. It is a five block walk to the Light Rail Train which reaches from the Mall of America, to the Airport and Downtown. Powderhorn Park is a very large city park 4-5 blocks away. Access to the extensive bike and recreational trail system is one block away on 18th. The Midtown YWCA is about 4 blocks away as well with a great indoor facility. Great access to uptown, downtown and located in the midst of midtown.
The address of the property is 3050 18th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55407
I love renovating old buildings. I have three vacation rental properties and enjoy hosting travelers. I spent my free time with my children and dog, biking, reading, surfing, traveling and doing as much yoga as I can.
Salle McDaniel purchased this condo in 2004
This is a vibrant neighborhood centrally located to enjoy the city of Minneapolis and all it offers. Great access to public transportation, groceries, and cultural opportunities.
All the comfort of a real home and you can cook!
The location, for me, was perfect, as my daughter's apartment was nearby. The apartment was clean and well apportioned. It was great having the parking space in the back! I'll keep it in mind for my next visit!
I luckily found the property while I was searching for a month long corporate arrangement, or fully furnished place. I relocated to Minneapolis from Texas and literally had no knowledge of the area. It's a great place to jump off from... very close to the social scenes of Uptown, Downtown, Edina shopping and the lakes. It's also close to the airport, the MOA and all major highways. I work south and even on the snowy days it only took me 30 minutes to get to the office. The tenants are quiet and the amenities in the place are great. It's not perfect.... hot water in the morning is hit and miss so I would recommend either sleeping in, or getting up really early. The boiler makes some noise so you might lose a little sleep. What hotel or rental doesn't though really. Otherwise, I don't have any other criticisms. Salle was very responsive to any call or question and returned my deposit immediately. I'm glad I found the rental.
This was the perfect condo...just what I was looking for!! I had never been to the city before and had a one week getaway without the kids. The condo was very clean and comfortable...I cannot think of anything that was missing. Unlike some of the other reviews I did not hear any barking dogs or noisy upstairs neighbors!! Salle was very easy to deal with and the check-in process couldn't have been easier. I would definitely recommend this property!! It was a bit further from where I wanted to be, but never having been to a city before you always take that risk as you don't know exactly where you want or need to be!!
We stayed in Salle's condo for a month while we were transitioning to Minneapolis. We loved how cozy it was, and the location was great--within walking distance to the light rail, shops, restaurants, and easy to drive in and out of. Having an off-street parking space was wonderful. The condo was very nicely furnished with all of the comforts of home. The only reason we did not rate 5 stars instead of 4 was the noise level--barking dog chorus across the hall, someone overhead who scraped furniture across the floor in the wee hours. With that said, after a couple of weeks, we got used to the sounds and they simply became the "music" of everyday living. Would return again with no hesitations! Also, our two kitties were very much at home, and settled in right away. This really says alot since one of our kitties is very skittish and hates change of any kind. She gave Salle's condo 4 paws of approval and was comfortable from the very beginning--as if we had always lived there!
In all my years VRBO'ing this is my first so-so review. The pictures are accurate so that is a plus but it is not what you see it is what you hear. Beware: There are neighbors on the second floor that make lots of noise late at night and across the hall their are several hysterically barking dogs. Thank god I had earplugs. The water for the shower was warm and never hot...which is sad in a freezing climate. Also there was $9.00 subtracted from my security deposit. The owner never informed me of this and of course $9.00 is trivial compared to the amount of $$ we spent but it added insult to injury to our literal luke warm experience.
My husband and I stayed in this apartment from Nov. 8-11. The apartment is nicely updated and clean.
The kitchen is well equiped and has nice appliances. The updated bathroom is a plus. The hot water heat made the apartment comfortably warm. Hope to stay here again on our next visit to Minneapolis.
