Bought this house after renting in the area for several years. Beautiful beach, great fishing and the ultimate location for a relaxing get away.
The Owner purchased this house in 1994
This was our first time visiting Anna Maria Island, and we could not have imagined staying at a better house! The house was equipped with absolutely everything we might need for a weeklong vacation. The house was spacious, clean, everything worked, and again it took us about 5 minutes walking distance to the most beautiful beach we have ever seen! My two teenage boys loved having the bikes to explore the area as they wanted, and the backyard has a grill that we used multiple times and certainly made eating more affordable than going out for every meal. There is an outdoor shower with hot water that came in so handy when coming back from the beach. There were beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a stroller looking thing that we loaded up to carry our "stuff" to the beach! We will definitely book this house again when we go back to Anna Maria! Thank you Howard we had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed your house!
Everything was perfect. Location was great, easy walk to the beach and rod and reel pier. Our son walked to the pier every night to fish. The sunsets were beautiful. Everything is in the rental that you will need for the week (chairs, cart, boards, ect.) We would highly recommend and we will definitely be back. Thanks Howard
This home is a great place to spend your vacation. Howard put in a lot of hard work to make this a home away from home and made sure you will have everything you need. It was very clean and we did not see any bugs. A few Salamanders but that was to be expected. Gas grill in the back yard with a spare tank in the garage. Full size laundry in the garage, no little apartment size appliances here. Full size refrigerator, 4 beach chairs and a pull cart to lug everything to the beach. The beach is a short walk, however when you get to the soft sand it's a workout pulling the cart the rest of the way to the beach. Bikes are a nice way of getting around for exercise and cruising to the fishing pier for breakfast.
We had a great time and you will to.
Very satisfied with the lovely "Beach House of Fishes"! Was everything advertised.
My husband and I stayed in this great house for a week over Christmas. We have rented several units from VRBO in different areas of the country. This was by far the nicest place we rented. The house itself is clean, has lots of room, great finishes, nice furniture, quality linens, nice outdoor area (with grill) and is decorated with a nice beachy feel. Very well stocked house. It is so close to the beach. Beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels all came with the rental. Washer, dryer and outdoor shower. Two bikes also were available. We walked to the beach every day, rode bikes to restaurants, grilled outdoors, cooked breakfasts in, watched movies at night. Quiet neighborhood. The owner was very responsive in providing information and it is obvious great care has been taken with maintaining the house/yard. It exceeded our expectations!
We spent 8 days in this great house near the Point. The house is very comfortable and well stocked. We usually rent a vacation house 1-2 times a year throughout Florida, and were amazed how much better stocked this house was compared to others. The house even had the special tool to replace the tube on my son's bike. Almost all the kitchen items were new and in good shape. Nothing in the house made you think it was a rental.
We attended a family reunion and other family members rented other houses on AMI. Everyone agreed we had the most comfortable house. We spent a lot of time at the beach, but also were able to bike to the two piers and local restaurants. There was plenty of room to store the kayak and SUPs we took.
The house has a real nice old Florida feel. I have been visiting AMI from when I was child in the 1970's. While some people complain about how AMI has changed over the last 10 years, this house retains the charm of AMI I have known for over 40 years.
