About Brian White
I manage this property on behalf of my mother, Joan.
Brian White purchased this Estate in 2000
Why Brian White chose Saint Helena
This 30 acre property had been a vineyard, originally planted in the 1880s, but had gone fallow and eventually completely reclaimed by the madrone and pine trees after Prohibition brought things to a halt. My mother came up here for the first time, many years ago, climbed a tree and was wowed by the incredible view of the entire Napa Valley! She acquired the property, designed and built the house and guest house around her vast collection of antique doors, windows and architectural artifacts of every kind.
What makes this Estate unique
Sweeping views of the Napa Valley, looking across to the majestic Mount St Helena, surrounded by the estate's expansive gardens and organic vineyard. Fine antique furnishings throughout the house, with extraordinary architectural features and integrated artifacts from all over the world (exposed beams throughout the house are hundreds of years old, dining room fireplace build around 12th c. French limestone carvings, the walls throughout are 2 feet thick, antique doors and windows). An old-world experience, literally brought here and assembled again in California!

A very nice home in an amazing location at the top of Spring Mountain Road. We were 5 couples hanging out for a week in the Napa Valley and were very pleased with the beautiful estate we rented. A very comfortable home in a quiet, scenic location with fabulous views. Negotiating Spring Mountain Road a few times each day was challenging but certainly worth the view. The homeowner and property manager were very accessible and accommodating. Would definitely look at renting again in the future.
Lovely home and people
What a lovely home and setting. Joan and Brian were wonderful. We were there for the PG&E power loss and sadly we had to cut our trip short but would definitely return!
Felt like a vacation to Tuscany
The property is grand yet casual, large enough to easily accommodate our group of 9. Each couple had their own bedroom and private bath. Plenty of sitting areas both inside and out. The house is filled with art and books. After spending five days there, I was still finding delightful objects d'art hidden in plain sight. The house is on a hilltop, surrounded by vineyards. We enjoyed walking to neighboring wine makers. Brian was so friendly and helpful. A totally delightful, relaxing place to spend time.
Perfect for Our Stay!
We booked this house for five couples to stay where all of the women were celebrating our 40th birthdays - the house couldn’t have been any more perfect! It is such a gorgeous property and the owner was so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Received a phone call immediately after booking with so much helpful info for us. The property that the house sits on is gorgeous. Highly recommend to set aside time in Napa just to enjoy the house/property. Loved every second!
The pictures don’t do this property justice. It’s glorious, spacious and cozy all at the same time. We had an amazing time with a big group and a small group. Everything from the fire pit to the hot tub to the pool to the vineyards and surrounding area were perfect. The hosts are responsive and lovely. We are hooked!
Amazing home and property.
I can’t say enough good things about this home. My family and I had the the best time. The hosts were very nice and easy to communicate with. We definitely want to come back.
Numerous wineries, fine restaurants, spas and other Napa Valley attractions close by.
