Welcome to our cabin 'CLIFFSIDE HIDEAWAY'. As owners, we live and work in the Pigeon Forge area and are totally 'hands on owners'. Tommy is a retired Firefighter and retired Sevierville Fire Marshal. I, on the other hand, am a local Realtor, although renting this cabin is not part of my business, we are blessed to call this BEAUTIFUL cabin our second home and would love to share it with you. It has one of the most amazing mountain views in the area. Glass front overlooking the mountain tops makes for one romantic cabin! It is decorated in rustic mountain decor, a king size bedroom and full bathroom (standup shower) downstairs, and in the huge loft upstairs is one king size bed with another full size bathroom (bathtub). The kitchen and dining area is also on the main level. The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed to prepare a full meal and there is a charcoal grill outside for grilling steaks, etc.

The upper floor also features a game area with a pool table and separate deck for relaxing. The washer and dryer are also upstairs.

For privacy, the hot tub is located on the lower back deck perfect for unwinding after a long day. Additionally, we personally insure that the cabin is cleaned and maintained properly assuring that your stay will be the best around.

We are conveniently located just minutes from the Parkway and directly between PIGEON FORGE and GATLINBURG about 4 miles from traffic light 8 in Pigeon Forge as well as Dollywood and Splash Country. We sit atop the mountain 2 miles and the road is winding getting to us but it is plenty wide enough for 2 cars to pass and certainly easy enough for cars to get to. And occasionally a bear or two will wonder by which are absolutely beautiful to look at. The wildlife is abundant with 'Raccoons and Squirrels' as well.

We have Parking for up to 5 vehicles and we are motorcycle friendly.

Method of payment:

We accept PERSONAL CHECK VIA MAIL or credit card and electronic checks thru the secure site with HomeAway.

Once you decide to book, we will email you a standard 'renters contract' and we will need 1/ 2 to be received within 5 days and the balance to be paid not less than 30 days prior to arrival. We require 30 days minimum for cancellations in order to receive any type of refund. If you cancel with more than 30 days of your arrival there will be a $50 booking fee withheld from the refund. If less than 30 days there will be no refund.

Dollywood, Splash Country, Dixie Stampede, Ripley's Aquarium, and Ober Gatlinburg are all within 5-10 minutes drive. Knoxville is only a 35 minute drive.

Restaurants that I recommend are Alamo Steakhouse, The Peddler, Momma's Farmhouse, Calhoun's, The Apple Barn, The Old Mill, JT Hannah's, and Flapjack's to name a few.

Well kept and nice location

  • 5 of 5

To start with the host was accommodating to our request of early check in, even though we made it only on time. The cabin was very clean and secluded. The driveway was large enough for 2 vehicles. This unit is on top of the hill and has amazing views as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for the weekend.

Sweet Cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was awesome. Driving up the hill to it was tough and also backing out of the driveway was hard. The road is one lane and really dark. Its a 14min drive of really sharp turning one lane road each time you want to go somewhere to eat or whatever. If you bring food and want a relaxing cabin stay this place is fantastic. Its quite. When I was in the hot tub I heard a noise 10ft away and beside the deck the hot tub is sits on, it was a black bear! The wifi worked, the washer and dryer worked. We brought our own detergent though. Overall it was a great place to rent.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and We are glad that you were able to experience seeing a bear while at the cabin. They have not been spotted since the fires so we hope they have not moved too far away. However, We are sorry that you were not comfortable on the roads. They are in fact two lane roads with plenty of passing room for additional cars. Our mountainous roads scare some if they are not used to them and since they are not lit with street lights, they can be very dark at night. Should you decide to return and stay with us, please let us know that you area repeat guest for a discount. The White's

You won't be disappointed!

  • 5 of 5

First off, the owners are very nice, helpful and can be reached anytime, which was very reassuring. We stayed in the cabin with a family of 5, to include a 15, 11 and 9 year old. Everyone was sad to leave when our vacation finished. The drive up the mountain is a little nerve racking, being from Florida, but we made it safely. Once on the mountain, you will notice a lot of fire damage from the wildfires, including all the surrounding cabins being gone. Subsequently, this helps with the view, which was amazing! You can probably see for 30 miles and I think you can see the entire city of Cherokee Hills. The view is even more amazing at night. The cabin it's self has no damage. On to the cabin. It was very clean, well kept and we'll decorated. We felt comfortable enough to walk around barefoot, and even felt secure sleeping in the bed, under the covers. The downstairs bed, by the way is super comfortable. I thought it may be the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, but that only applies to the left side lol. The right side of the bed is a little worn, but I still slept good on that side too. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. The upstairs has a nice pool table that the kids played on for hours. The jacuzzi tub is also located up stairs and was also very much enjoyed by all. The hot tub was clean, but we found out that if it's too cold outside, the water is mild at best. One night, we tried to get in the hot tub when it was about 25 degrees. We quickly got too cold and had to get out, even with the temp on 104. The next day, the outside temp was in the 40s and the water was very warm. The hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed that day. We enjoyed the bear motif and played a game with the kids to count how many bears we could find in the cabin. There's a bunch! Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay! The only advice I would give is this. You are high up on a mountain. If you are nervous about potentially dangerous roads and being on the side of a mountain, this may not be the cabin for you. But if you like adventure, great views, being high up on a mountain and like staying in a clean and well maintained cabin, this is your cabin! Here's a secret I'll share. Take a moment to take about a ten minute walk to the crest of this mountain, just above the cabin. There you will find a vacant lot were a cabin burned. The view and serenity of this specific spot is almost religious! As you can see, we loved this cabin as so will you!

Beautiful cabin, gorgeous views

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was beautiful, extremely clean, had gorgeous views, comfy beds, and the hot tub hit just the right spot before bed. We will definitely be back the next time we are down that way.

The cabin is beautiful, inside and out! It was very clean and well kept. It is decorated very nicely; we loved all the bear decor! It had plenty of towels in the bathrooms and extras for the jetted tub. The tub is awesome by the way! The beds are super comfy, and we loved the pool table. There was plenty of pots and pans and other kitchen items. It had a great view from the second floor balcony. We loved the hot tub on the back deck and how you couldn't see any neighbors back there. There are two neighboring cabins that are also well kept. They are kind of close, but there were lots of trees between this cabin and the next one so you couldn't see into the other cabin or anything. I loved that on the other side was a cliff going straight up. The road up the mountain to the cabin is steep and very curvy, but if we can make the curves in a Chevy Suburban HD, anything could make those curves! We had it booked for 4 nights, but we decided to stay in the area an extra day at the last minute. We contacted the owners at 9:30 PM on our fourth night and asked if there was any way we could book it one more night. They responded quickly and approved us to stay one more night-- very accommodating. It also has a remote feel, but you aren't too far away from any of the main attractions in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, or Sevierville. It's about an hour's drive to Clingmans Dome and two hours to Asheville, NC (we went to the Biltmore Estate). We are already planning our 2017 trip, and we will definitely be staying here again. We've already recommended this cabin to all of our friends and family. My parents are planning a 2017 trip as well, and they are going to stay here too!
