This is a quiet apartment in a quiet area of the city, yet very close to everything in SF.
This unit receives lots of sun through large windows in the bedroom, living room, and kitchen.
The back door leads to a small breakfast table on the back porch that receives lots of sunshine and has unobstructed views of the miniature orchard in the backyard with pear, plum, fig and several types of apple trees that produces lots of fruit for you to enjoy should you be here during the summer and fall months.
Modern outdoor seating and tables are present for you to enjoy the space during a BBQ or early morning cup of coffee.
We loved our stay at this lovely Noe Valley apartment during our relocation to SF. The apartment is furnished beautifully, has a wonderful kitchen and we enjoyed a few home cooked meals. The bed is very comfortable and the linens are top quality. What we loved most was that the apartment was immaculate and everything smelled clean and fresh & Mary was extremely communicative and took care of our needs. I highly recommend this apartment. Plus Noe is a great neighborhood.
Great location; property had everything we desired for our stay! My wife fell in love with the Wedgewood stove! The keyless entry gave us one less thing to worry about, and parking was never an issue. A previous review mentioned the placement of the bathroom, which initially seemed to be in an odd spot; however it ended up not being a big deal just because we loved the place. We even used one of the provided grills in the yard - we bought charcoal but found we didn't need it because it was also provided! We will most definitely stay here again if we make another trip to San Francisco :-)
We've stayed at the wonderful apartment twice now and have to say it couldn't be any better. The location in Noe Valley is perfect, walking distance to great shops, restaurants and cafes, free street parking that's easy to find (a real plus in SF) and easy access to anywhere you want to go in SF.
The apartment is super clean, nicely decorated, great kitchen gear for cooking, and incredibly reasonable compared to others in the area.
We've stayed in VRBOs all over the world and this one is right up there with the best of them.
Lastly, the owner couldn't be easier to deal with.
This was a fantastic place and Mary is a pleasure to work with. When there was a problem with something, she was able to tell me what to do quickly. The apartment, itself, is in a great location--quiet, easy walking distance to many places, as well as to the Muni so the trip into downtown was simple. I would stay there again in a minute!
I spent about a week in this lovely apartment and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The owner was wonderful to work with and the arrangements went off smoothly.
It is one block from the main Street in Noe - so very quiet and yet accessible to everything in the area. And there is a lot. Around the corner is Pasta Gina's and I stopped almost every day in this neighborhood littler gem for food to heat up or deli or drinks. The cannoli cream made there will ruin you for cannoli anywhere else!
There are a few steps up to the place which means you are on the top - great for air flow and the view out the back which is lovely. I am not in shape at all and had no trouble with the stairs which are less than a single flight. And I had two heavy bags.
My girlfriend and I stayed in this convenient, spacious 1 bedroom for 6 nights in June 2013 while on vacation in San Fran. Overall it was a lovely experience. Some comments below:'
Location - Quick walk to Whole Foods, Walgreen's, a many businesses and restaurants in the heart of Noe Valley. Fun Castro area and uber hip Mission Valencia corridor are a longer leisurely walk 15-20 minutes.
Bedroom and Living Room - Comfortable, basic, warm with a very soft bed that stands high with a nice mattress sitting on a springbox. Closet has moderate hanging space, slightly short on hangers, and lots of floor space for luggage and boxes. We slept very well on the bed and insulation was very good, very limited noise from street and heating requirement was minimal even though June is often the coldest month in San Fran. Living room was basic with a sofa, chair, and large coffee table. We spent the least amount of time in the living room and never turned on the television so I can only say it was fine. Mostly we used the living room for all our luggage.
Bathroom - Clean and reasonably modern bathroom with large standing shower with glass door, normal toilet, and very tiny sink. The sink basin was hard to use but everything else was nice and the water pressure and hot water heater were both good.
Kitchen - Spacious kitchen with large 4 burner oven, large frig, and well stocked with everything you need including glasses, dinneware, silverware, cooking utensils, and extra trash bags. We really loved the kitchen and used it a lot during out stay. There's also a cute doorway leading to the back stairwell that has a table and chairs right outside. You can stand there and enjoy a nice scenic view of the Noe Valley hills.
Floors and Neighbors - Second floor unit. We never heard our neighbors through the walls or floors. But we were on holiday so we were out to dinner and drinks most nights including weekdays and when we came home late, the wood floors in the apartment did creak a little and we sometimes felt conscientious walking around. So we made every effort to be quiet.
Value for Money - For the price, this apartment was superb value. Far better than staying in a hotel in Union Square or near the water. I would stay here again and again and again. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!
