Beachhouse condo #404 location is perfect for taking advantage of all the wonderful activities the Kiahuna Plantation Resort has to offer. Set in a secluded garden view location in Building 40, the remodeled and updated condo is on the ground floor. Walkout to a large covered lanai and lawn area surrounded by tropical landscaping. The lanai has both lounge chairs and table/chairs for relaxing or dining outside. A gas grill is just steps away. Guests have unlimited access to the Poipu Beach Athletic Club pool, tennis and sports courts, fitness equipment and pool side grill restaurant . Yoga and fitness classes are available.
The kitchen is fully furnished for dining in with granite counter tops, cherry wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances. Living and dining room furniture with a tropical design ensures a relaxing space to view one of two flat screen TVs. The sofa converts to a comfy queen size sofa bed with an extra thick mattress. You will also sleep well in the private bedroom furnished with a King size bed, flat screen TV and ceiling fan to get the most out of Kauai’s tropical breeze. All linens, towels, and toiletries are fully stocked in the remodeled bath with travertine tub and shower and vanity with granite counter. A perfect spot for another Kaua'i vacation
We regularly rent at Kiahuna, either the Outrigger or Castle sides of the Plantation, but this is our first time renting Chuck's condo. We enjoy the buildings near the road for many reasons. Chuck's building was the quietest by far - it seems that the buildings closer to the beach get more of the louder, partying type of guests. The unit opens up to a huge lawn, and we woke up to hundreds of birds and the iconic Kaua'i chickens. The walk to the beach takes about five minutes, and you have several ways to go - down the roads to Poipu Beach, down the driveway through the Marriott beach access or across the Outrigger lawns. The weather for us was very windy and quite rainy for our two weeks (we were here for the massive Kaua'i floods on the east and north sides) which we worked around- for the calmest beach I swam in front of the Marriott, and little kids could easily use Poipu Beach. When we needed a sunnier spot, we drove west until the clouds parted, and we usually found a sunny spot at Salt Pond Beach - a great spot for snorkeling, swimming and areas for little ones. Waimea Canyon was actually quite pleasant, although we heard some of the trails were pretty muddy.
The unit is as advertised and everything worked. We had a couple of unit issues when we arrived, but Chuck quickly responded to management and they were resolved. no problem. It would be nice to have two newer beach chairs - the ones here are very tired.
One issue that came up, which is normal, is bugs. It has been unusually wet here, so there are more, but we didn't have any of the biting variety, like mosquitos or no-see-ums. There are a few tiny black flies that are incredibly slow and easy to kill that are, at worst, annoying. Blame the rain and the fact that the trade winds are blocked a bit by how the unit is located. Being a garden unit, you do get more bugs - but again, no bites. And, we also kept lights off at night when we didn't need them because that is where they will congregate. If you have a case of bugphobia this may not be your unit. But, I also found two really elegant praying mantis, several large butterflies and a few varieties of geckos. The garden island did not disappoint.
The pool and athletic club, the laundry, and the nearby shops and coffee stands are all just a few minutes walk. You can walk in several directions, including the hike out past Shipwreck Beach by just walking out of the unit (it adds another mile, but that is good for you). Aloha.
Amazing Stay In Kauai
Friends had recommended this unit to us from their prior stay and we are happy to pass along the positive review. The property is clean and well maintained. It had all the necessary comforts to make our 10 day stay pleasant. The ground floor unit had a great patio on a quiet lawn - a great location, being close to the beach and near to several shopping and dining areas. The owner was very helpful and communicated well with us prior to our stay. We will recommend this unit to others.

Had a great time with a family of 4, even with some rainy days.
Booking, check in, services and check out were all flawless.
Access to pool and beach was a close 5 minute walk. Was great to have access to all of the fitness club activities (basketball, pickle ball, tennis, badminton, ping pong) as well.

This condo was at the back closer to the road, but that made it so handy for our walks and being able to go to the Poipu Beach Park.
The restaurant on site was amazing and the BBQ's really were outside the door.
We would recommend to friends and would stay again.
Beach towels were available which was nice.
We used the laundry twice in 2 weeks and there was never a wait.
Condo was very modern, all small appliances and dishes/pans in well stocked kitchen. Loved the ice maker!
No need for A/C when we were there, just kept the fans on with windows and louvres open.
Great Vacation Home
This property was just as described. Very nice furnishings and extremely well equipped, it is in a quiet location but well located relative to the athletic club, walking to the small nearby commercial center, and parking. The first floor setting is desirable, and the patio that is opens onto a manicured lawn is pleasant and sunny. Overall, a delightful vacation home on a wonderful island.
We'll be back
We've visited Kauai several times and always enjoy our stays. But our stay at Kiahuna Plantation was the best ever. From the reception to the housekeeping to the grounds maintenance to the restaurant, everything was flawless. And our condo was tastefully furnished and well-equipped. Simply put, our kind of place. Our thanks to Chuck and Marsha, and the Kiahuna Plantation folks.
