Garden Cottage in Wine Country

Bedrooms 1
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Cottage, Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2)

'The beauty of the Willamette Valley is that you can get lost on the backcountry roads but always find a good glass of Pinot around the next bend.' Sunset June 2009

Our cottage is located within walking distance to the historic downtown 3rd street, filled with galleries, restaurants, shops, antiques, and new tasting rooms that are popping up everywhere! It is close to Linfield College, less than an hour from the city lights of Portland, and 50 minutes from a bowl of clam chowder on the Pacific Ocean. Add another hour and you can be skiing down Mt. Hood. 30 minutes takes you to our state's capital of Salem.

Relax in a quaint and cozy cottage for two, sit on your own porch overlooking a private big back yard, sit by a fire, have a picnic or BBQ and plan your next day's excursions in this beautiful Willamette Valley.

About Connie Fasana

I am a retired school teacher and my husband is a retired contractor who keeps busy working on our property here and in Sheridan and California. We decided to share the cottage not only with family but with people who visit McMinnville for its surrounding pleasures and those visiting students at Linfield. We have 5 children and 6 grandchildren nearby. Our lives are busy with the many people we love. We would love to share our space with people who love this area as much as we do.

Connie Fasana purchased this cottage in 1996

What makes this cottage unique

We love where we live, within walking distance to 3rd Street, close to the library and pool and surrounded by nice neighbors. Our backyard is large and private which gives the cottage additional space to sit or be near a fire in the evenings. We walk to restaurants and the local pub to hear live music. Many days we do not even get into our car. I love it here!

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a wonderful place! We had a great time staying here in McMinnville- the local wine and brews, the whales on the coast, the beautiful scenery- and a cute place with a beautiful yard to top it all off! THANKS!

The place was very cute and clean.

The location was great! It’s a bit small but has everything you need. It had a bit of a musty smell but we would stay there again. The bed is very comfy.

See below. Great spot. Small but enough room for a couple. We’ll be back.

Great location

  • 4 of 5

It was only a 10-15 minute walk to town and a great starting point to explore the wine country. The cottage was well equipped. The only problem I found was the way the bed was arranged in the room. You had very little room to walk around the bed because it was so close to the kitchen cabinets.

Cozy cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent two nights at the cottage and found it to be quite comfortable. It is in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to town. This was our first time visiting the Willamette valley, and enjoyed both the town of McMinnville and the surrounding area.

We would stay here again!

Beautiful Tiny Cottage in Prime Location

  • 5 of 5

This cottage was perfect for me and my wife while we were in town on a wine tasting weekend with friends. It had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend. The small size of the place provided its own charming qualities that definitely made it feel like a getaway vacation. While we didn't end up using the backyard, it looked like it would be a great place to relax in a bit warmer weather. The location of the cottage is perfect for anyone interested in visiting downtown McMinnville. It was only a 5 to 10 minute walk to just about anywhere downtown. Would definitely return here again.
