Here is one of our reviews from our happy guest!
We had a wonderful and truly relaxing "staycation" in Ohia Estates. The house is comfortable and clean, and it has everything you need including a fully stocked kitchen. The shower.....I cannot say enough about this shower!!! It felt like I was bathing in a perfectly hot waterfall....so incredible. The hot tub with the view of ohia trees and hapu'u ferns was absolutely lovely. I definitely recommend this sweet little home.
Aloha and welcome to my Big Island home! Ohia Estates is a magical place just four miles from Hawaii National Park. A perfect getaway for those wanting to hike the Kilauea trails and explore Volcano's Hawaii National Park. The guest room is fully furnished w/ a Queen size bed and ample closet space. The rental also includes one full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a covered lanai and a hot tub. The seclusion and solitude is perfect for those who need to get away from it all and detox from the stress of the city.

After living in L.A. and traveling the world for the past 10 years, I have been searching for my piece of Hawaii. I am originally from Honolulu and I didn't want to be in a city environment, so I chose the Big Island to call home. I was drawn to Volcano because of it's cooler temperature and it's proximity to Hawaii National Park. It's exciting living so close to one of the most active volcano's in the world. The earth is ALIVE here!
Spend the day exploring Volcano's Hawaii National Park, hiking the trails of Kilauea or playing golf at the Volcano Golf and Country Club then come home to a completely furnished home with a fully equipped kitchen. You and your special someone can prepare a gourmet meal then soak in the hot tub while sipping wine on the outdoor lanai. All the creature comforts of home in the serene tropical rain forest. Amenities include wireless internet, DirecTV Satellite Programming, and DVD/CD Surround Sound Stereo System.
Great proximity to Volcano National Park! Hot tub is a nice touch after a long day! Host is very responsive!
Thanks for letting us stay! The location was great and everything was as advertised!
This property is exactly as advertised. Great place to unwind and relax. The hot tub is a plus!!! We really enjoyed our very short stay and will consider coming back.
Comfortable, private and exactly what we were hoping for
We arrived at the night and the house was ready for us. Very nice and comfy. We loved it
Great good location in Volcano, short drive to restaurants, Volcano National Park, Mt. View Bakery. 45-60 minutes to Pahoa area where most boats leave for lava→ocean tour. There are a couple of small stores in Volcano, larger groceries in Hilo. Clean, quiet (can't hear highway traffic), private. Kitchen well stocked, has a dishwasher, Ice packs, cooler. Bedrooms are very nice. It can get chilly in Volcano but the house has a heater which works well. Jacuzzi was very nice to have after long hikes. There are some feral cats which I guess hang around because people feed them, but they did not get on our car and don't bother you other than occasionally staring in the window. Clothes washer and dryer work well.
Cozy hale with a comfortable environment. Close to everything yet isolated too.
very plain.....no landscaping...from the outside but inside was fine....everything anyone could need...and coffee ! a big t.v with cable...a small gas fireplace which did not work one day. All told, we would stay there again. private and quiet.
