The lake is too narrow for pleasure boating & is a 'no wake' lake. Woods Creek is home of the state large mouth bass record of 13 lbs. 10 oz.

The owners of this property are local natives and local realtors and have a true appreciation for the beauty of Southeastern Kentucky and this property in particular. We have just recently purchased this cabin and plan to derive lots of personal enjoyment and at the same time share the experience with others.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2009
London/Laurel County located within the Daniel Boone National Forest and home of both Woods Creek Lake and Laurel Lake offers some of nature's most magnificent views.
The Great Escape transports you into such a peaceful, tranquil place and yet is so conveniently located. No other lake properties offer the amount of outdoor entertaining spaces with it's numerous decks, covered porches, covered shelter & dock. Tastefully decorated & truly comfortable.
Great cabin, loved the lake, woods, sitting on the deck. Cabin felt like home & we didn't want to leave! Beautiful interior & comfy beds. Wonderful cabin, so relaxing & when you have your family with you it doesn't get any better than that! We would come again!
Our family of 5 stayed in this cabin and had such a great time. It was very clean and ready for us when we got there. Each of our grandchildren had their own room so everyone had plenty of space. And the views....WOW. My favorite place was sitting on the swing on one of the decks overlooking the lake. Breathtaking. There are quite a few steps down to the lake but not too many. Tim was great to work with, answered all our questions and even had music playing when we got there. Thanks, Tim, for sharing your cabin. Had a terrific time!
My husband and I took our kids and one of their friends with us on a little weekend getaway for Spring Break. The pictures do not do this place justice! It was so beautiful and serene! When we first walked in the cabin, there was music playing found a note from the owner on the counter and we instantly felt at home. There was room for everyone to have their own space inside and out. It has outstanding multi-level decks. It was still cold though and we did not get to enjoy the outdoor space as much as we would have liked but we still did some fishing and had a fire in the fire pit on the deck. We went to see the Falls and walked some trails. We also went to see Lake Cumberland. We only complaint was the bed on the main floor across from the bathroom. It was very creaky and seemed very small. My husband and I are not big people (I am only 5'2" and hubby is 5"8) but we had no room to even roll over. The room itself is large enough to put a bigger bed in there but I think the bed has seen better days and it just needs replaced (boxed springs and mattress). Other than that - we had no complaints. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything you could ever need. The owner was very helpful and responded to our texts right away. We would definitely go back!! We all loved it very much and would recommend it!!
It had been way too long for this close yet "far away getaway"! The cabin was a perfect place for us to spend some quality, uninterrupted time together reconnecting. The cabin is roomy with a good layout of kitchen/living area as we prepared our meals together. Our time there was very relaxing as we enjoyed the electric fireplace and the view of the lake was absolutely beautiful as the snow was falling! (Tim was great in accommodating our arrival time as snow was predicted!) We especially enjoyed the game started by a previous guest - "Where's George?" You have to go to find out!!! We would recommend this cabin for any type of group!
Beautiful cabin, beautiful Lake, peaceful, secluded, exactly what we wanted. Rained a lot but everyone loved the cabin and didn't mind spending the indoors. I on the other hand canoed and fished when it didn't rain and when it poured rain, did everything I could to catch fish but only landed a single largemouth, which was disappointing but just to be out in the canoe rain or shine eased the pain of no fish. The fall colours were spectacular.
Tim was extremely helpful and just a phonecall or a text away. He replied immediately to my texts and couldn't have been more accommodating
The cabin worked great for 6 groomsmen to stay together for a couple of nights. Very economical too in comparison with a motel. Perfect!
The family came to town for my mom's 90th birthday. We rented 3 cabins along the lake & everyone agreed that ours(yours) was by far the best. We BBQ'd on the 4th & used the pontoon. There were a lot of us, but space was never an issue with ALL the deck areas. There was something for everyone. Some fished from the dock, my two youngest great-nieces(4 & 7) each caught her first fish. Others played a game on the lower deck, someone else sat on a swing & read her book on the mid-level deck while we cooked on the main level. It was amazing, all this activity & people at one time but you never felt crowded. The kids, 2-27 years of age, enjoyed the George game. The 2 year old even found one. We hid them again & hope the renters have as much fun finding them as we did. There was never one peep about not having internet access from my kids, which has ALWAYS been their biggest complaint when we visited the grandparents. We have been coming to KY for many years, my parents have lived in Corbin since 1991 and the most asked question that weekend was "Why haven't we ever done this before?" Thank you for renting us your home. You allowed a family spread from Florida to New York, from North Carolina to Minnesota gather together, something we are rarely able to do, to celebrate a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & person. We created many wonderful memories that will last for many years.
