Our home is steps away from fine dining, shopping and beautiful Lake Minnetonka! We are located along a bike trail that travels east to Minneapolis or West through beautiful regional parks. You will be sure to leave your stay with us relaxed and refreshed!

The home is just two blocks from scenic Lake Minnetonka in the lakeside village of Excelsior, MN. Just twenty minutes from the Minneapolis. The home overlooks downtown Excelsior’s popular Water Street, selected as one of the sixteen “best main streets in America” by Parade Magazine. Excelsior Bay is the perfect point of departure for a fun getaway weekend, special occasion, romantic escape or a refreshing change of pace for the business traveler.

• All check-ins are contactless! To provide this service, we require a selfie of you holding your ID to verify your identity prior to check-in. No exception.
• Bookings made within 10 days of arrival will require additional credit card documentation.
• Our Rental Agreement must be signed prior to arrival. This will require your email address. Please inquire about the terms and conditions prior to booking. More info can be found on the Minnestay website, under Guest Services - Rental Policies.
• Minnestay uses a third-party to screen the identity and check criminal databases for all guests in order to confirm a reservation. Guests will be required to complete the screening by responding to an email sent by the third-party. Complete terms regarding guest screening can be found on the Safely website, under Terms.
• No smoking inside of the home.
• This property may have a noise monitoring device on the interior of the home. Additional noise monitoring devices may be located in gathering spaces on the exterior of the home, as well.
• No pets allowed!
• Please respect the home and clean up after yourself!
• Quiet Hours: 10PM-7AM. We love our neighbors!! Please be respectful of the permanent residents on either side of this property.
• Direct bookings or other online booking sources may be subject to a 3% cancellation fee.

Great family spot!

Wonderful home in a perfect location! Plenty of room for everyone. Also, the kitchen was fully stocked and a delight to cook in.

Memorial Day Weekend 2023

This property, in the center of the town of Excelsior, was perfect for our 3-generation family reunion. The kitchen is great for gathering, the living and dining rooms are good for relaxed time, and the patio and side yard worked for outside fun. We could easily walk to both shops and the lake. It has a few sleeping areas, some effectively separated from others, which allowed our adult children with their kids (our grandkids) to have their own space. It would be tight for 17 people (as advertised) but with 7 separate bedrooms and 5 full baths (1 half bath) it was perfect for our trip to Minnesota.

Nice house excellent location

We had a great time spending the weekend in this house! There are several great restaurants within walking distance. The house is newly renovated with nice bathrooms and comfortable beds.

Nice house with spectacular kitchen

The Guest House is quite nice, although we had issues with lack of heat - possibly because we used the fireplace. The kitchen was really beautiful - the high point of the home. Minnestay was easy to work with, and we enjoyed our stay, but did not feel it was worth the very, very large price tag for the short amount of time we were actually there.
