About Rebecca Rodriguez

Santa Fe holds a special alchemy for the creative process as well as spiritual pilgrimidge....both are very important to us. Our home is full of artworks from Taos Talent Todd Winters and Inuit stencils from the artic circle. We love the location with it's eclectic neighborhood of both the really old and the new...and the ease of walking everywhere. Both of us are also involved in Hospice & our work is focused on the empowerment of the dying. The Goal is to move from this world into the next consciously and without fear.

Rebecca Rodriguez purchased this townhome in 2008

Why Rebecca Rodriguez chose Santa Fe

Ease of access to everything!! Love the ambiance of the eclectic neighborhood and the proximity of the Farmers Market and Railyard area. We looked for over a year and kept coming back to this neighborhood. This area gives us the old Santa Fe we've known for decades, closeness to shopping and dining, walk to farmers market and summer plaza events. Wonderful weather with 4 full seasons. We hope to retire there full time in the future.

What makes this townhome unique

Peacefulness. Elegant surroundings but very comfortable. Easy 3 blocks to Farmers Market and emerging Art Center. Whole Foods, Trader Joes just down the street. Love our neighbors!! Outdoor setting off Master. ALWAYS something going on in Santa Fe. You can walk to the plaza on summer evenings around 5pm for live music and special activities.

Cooking great meals (Out doors too!) and enjoying them outside with good friends and inspiring conversations. Jacuzzi Tub before bed!!

Guestbook comments from the owner

I wanted to drop you a note to let you know what a wonderful time my sisters and I had in Santa Fe. Your home is lovely and was perfect for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And it was so convenient. We found a nice coffee shop at the Railyard within walking distance and were able to get the trolley right there to go downtown. We are filed with great memories. Thanks again for providing us a wonderful home on our vacation.

Really nice condo

  • 5 of 5

This is a very nice condo in a very good location in Santa Fe. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Santa Fe Railyard, which houses a good brewpub (Second Street), a large REI store, and a farmer's market a couple of days a week. There are more shops and restaurants in the immediate area of the Railyard. It is also home to the trailhead of the Santa Fe Rail Trail, a paved path (at least for the first few miles) that parallels the commuter rail tracks.

My wife, sister-in-law, and I are all in our mid-sixties, and we walked to the square in Santa Fe in 22 minutes. There are various shuttles and other modes of transport, but, with the walk that short, why bother? I should mention that we visited in July, and the temperatures were quite high. Still, the walk was not particularly tough. We are from south/central Texas, so the heat in Santa Fe, with its low humidity, was very tolerable. If you're from a much cooler climate, your impression may be different.

Whilst talking about walking, there are a number of very good restaurants within walking distance of the unit, or a very short drive. Grocery stores are also nearby (Whole Food and Albertson's, notably).

As to the condo itself, the air conditioner works fine, so no heat problems there! The entire condo is beautifully decorated, with furnishings that are both attractive and functional. The kitchen is very well equipped. While the unit shares walls with others, I never heard anything to indicate the tenants, although I DID see them, so I know they were there! Each unit has two parking spaces, off the street.

All instructions regarding method of access, and procedures to be followed once in the condo, were quite clear, and everything worked as predicted. This is a nice place, and well worth considering if you plan to stay in Santa Fe.

I will mention two small (very small) nits to pick: one regards the shower in the master suite. The shower works just fine, but is surrounded by a curtain that you will be warned must be in place, lest water from the shower flood the kitchen ceiling below. Let me be very clear: this doesn't compromise the utility of the shower, but is at odds with the otherwise top-of-the-line nature of the condo. The other nit is more pervasive among all rental properties: the natural light is great but, once the sun goes down, the kitchen and master bath are somewhat tough for older eyes. More light, please. Still: this property is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great place, great location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here with another couple. We were thoroughly impressed with the house and it's location. Quiet neighborhood, clean and so close to downtown and wonderful restaurants. Rebecca was easy to work with and we would definitely recommend the property to others, as well as stay there again. Missing Santa Fe already!

A bit of heaven

  • 5 of 5

It was a wonderful, well kept home with all the amenities. Close to the square but still needed a car to get to the heart of the city. We enjoyed all the beautiful art in the home. We even liked the same authors. I would definitely recommend this cozy unit for your trip to Santa Fe.
