My wife and myself are retired We are born in Paris and have lived there most of our time and a little bit abroad
We bought this townhouse when our three daughters have chosen the man of their life to live with.
We spend most of our time in our country side house in South East of France (2 hours and a half away by TGV). We share our time between our childrens/grand childrens, trips abroad in the south hemisphere during the winter either as tenants or swappers .
Our Paris apartment is a kind of second home where we go to meet family and friends living there
Véronique & Luc purchased this townhome in 2004
Because after having lived in Paris in different places we know that it is the most central place with many bus and tube lines, Very quiet and secured thanks to the prime minister's residence being next to our place.
In the center of Paris, quiet and 'green' like countryside.
2 bedrooms with their own private ensuite bath or shower room and toilet which allows us to accommodate familly; friends or you for a few days.
Like a small house - but no private garden - with nobody above nobody aside nobody under and a huge garden with lots of chlorophyle and birds just behind
Bright living room with the veranda.
I have just been looking the photos of a very enjoable and happy time. My two children (17 and 20) used the sofa beds. There was no complaints at all, so for me thats definate positive.
The apartment is just perfect, warm, inviting, it has a happy feeling to it.
The location is fabulous, central and the Grand la Pisserie has all the take away food you could wish for, of which the quality is exceptional.
We all had the most fantastic time in a city which has so much to see and experience.
Luc and Veronique were very good at communicating all through the process. Arrival was easy and we were met by Evelyn to show us and teach us about the place. We were in Paris as tourists and to attend games in Euro2016 and this was a comfortable and reasonable priced location. It is a nice safe neighborhood in the 7th Arrondisement with embassies and police protection nearby. Great local shops and cafes. Getting around Paris was easy as the metro stops are nearby. We were able to take just one train all the way out to stadium direct from Xavier stop. Walk out front door, turn right and walk about 20 minutes and you are at the entrance to the D'Orsay museum. We walked to river often as well as Musee de Armees and Musee Rodin. The flat had two bedrooms and bathrooms as advertised. It was a little older and some areas were ready for update but it felt homey. It was a bit hot as there is no A/C and it's a bit hard to get good circulation because the back of building does not open and this caused a bit of moisture to remain after showers. The wi-fi worked very well and was helpful for daily planning and review.
All in all we had a very enjoyable stay in Paris and Luc and Veronique's place was a part of that enjoyment.
We enjoyed a lovely two-week stay at Luc and Veronique's apartment in the 7th arrondissement. Nothing was overlooked to insure we had a perfect stay. The apartment was fully equipped, quite charming, full of light, secure, and along a quiet street. Our trip was a special birthday gift for our 11 year old granddaughter---her introduction to Paris. Living in the apartment was a far superior experience for her and us than a hotel room.
Off the beaten trail, wonderfully quiet, but close to much as well. It's a perfect location. In terms of cuisine--we recommend Chez Germain for a dinner out. The manager, Frederick, was welcoming and attentive, and the food was excellent. We dined there on two evenings; and two evenings at Au Pied de Fouet. Two very different experiences, both lovely. And both in the neighborhood. We also dined in the apartment several evenings. Our food was purchased at the Bon Marche's La Grande Epicerie de Paris---which offers everything a gourmet would want -- prepared for you or take it home for your own preparation.
We are happy to recommend Luc and Veronique's home to you. Bottom line, would we return? "Yes, indeed."
The property is centrally located within walking distance (half hour) of Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Army Museum, d'Orsay, Latin Quarter. Maybe 40 min to Notre Dame. Very secure area--many government buildings with police presence, with a courtyard door, interior courtyard gate, and interior door. The apartment was as represented, and Luc and Veronique, who are very nice, greeted us at the door. They were also nice enough to arrange 2 airport transfers with a delightful driver at a reasonable price. The second bedroom is most suited for a single adult or 2 children. Less than a block away is Coutume, a terrific place for coffee and breakfast. Within about 10 minutes are very good and reasonable cafes--Cafe Varenne, Au Pied de Fouet, and Domaine de Lintillac. Le Grande Epicerie is also 10 min away and has an outstanding selection of expensive take-out delicacies. We would be happy to return.
We loved this very quiet location close to excellent shopping, great food, and superb museums and gardens. The apartment is a little tired but is comfortable and cosy and very attractive. Luc supplies great local information which is totally reliable.
We (2 couples) spent the last 5 days of a 21-day trip to France at this wonderful townhome. It is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of restaurants and many sights including Bon Marche, the Louvre, Rodin Museum, etc. It was the perfect home away from home for us. Upon our arrival we were met by Miss Evelyne who was most welcoming; she introduced us to all aspects of the townhome and answered all of our questions. From our first correspondence via email with Luc until the end of our stay, he was most gracious and provided us with excellent service. In addition to providing information regarding the amenities of the immediate area and answering our many email enquiries regarding topics not directly related to the townhome, he also pre-arranged our taxis from the train station and to the airport. His service and hospitality could not have been better. We highly recommend his townhome for a stay in Paris.
Luc was incredibly helpful in the days leading up to our stay. We immediately felt at home when we arrived and loved having a little home away from home to come back to after a day exploring in the city. The neighborhood is quiet but there are conveniences nearby - good supermarkets, bakeries, wine shops and a few small restaurants. I highly recommend a stay here for anyone traveling to Paris!
This atypical charming townhouse for 2 or 4 people is located in the heart of Paris, between the fancy Saint-Germain des Près and Montparnasse neighborhoods, between Les invalide/Eiffel Tower and Jardin du Luxembourg, close to ‘rue de Rennes’ and Musée Rodin; well known for Le Bon Marché and many fashionable clothes boutiques, groceries and restaurants.
This very peaceful and truly quiet townhouse is far from the noise of the city and simultaneaously in the hearth of it while lively Quartier Latin is 10 minutes away by foot.
