Overview

Weaverville House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed in finished basement, 2Baths, Sleeps 5

Our Cabin is wonderful and well located for lots of activities or relaxation around the Asheville area. We are just north of Asheville by about 18 minutes.

This is a 'real log cabin' that was completely renovated with the finest in wood floors, stone work and charming unique touches. We believe you will find the cabin very clean, uniquely charming and having everything you may need for a vacation! We, the owners, live nearby and take great pride in seeing that our guests are comfortable. Should you wish some suggestions of things to see, or how to find the hiking trails, the rivers, the restaurants, the relaxation or excitement that this area has to offer, your hosts can help.

The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed and single. The cabin is perfectly located during the 'leaf season' and the leaves on the property itself are exquisite, but we suggest winter is also great with its warmth and coziness with a great stone fire place. Sundance Log Cabin is not far from several ski areas including Wolf Laurel.

Spring and summer are special times at Sundance Log Cabin. Berries, peach and apple trees dot the large flat field in front of the cabin which is great for play, frisbee or soccer!

Probably some of the nicest features of the cabin are the large covered porches for outdoor dining or just rocking in the rockers enjoying the large green areas.

The downstairs basement has just been converted to a lovely, stylish and bright 'rustic/ Tuscan style' play and ping pong room with a full bathroom that has a lovely Tuscany like shower.

Please call us for more information. We like to talk with all of our guests and run our cabin 'the old fashioned ' way with old fashioned hospitality and old fashioned communication. Send us an email today with your phone number and we can help answer all of your questions!

Why CiCi chose Asheville Area

This adorable log cabin sits on 3+ beautiful acres up the Reems Creek Valley. The property itself has 2 creeks running through it with a lovely private screened hut/ gazebo on the river. The land is dappled with fruit trees, and berries. Our cabin is 10 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 20 minutes a from downtown Asheville and 9 minutes from the charming town of Weaverville. Sundance Log Cabin is made from hand hewn wood work and has large covered porches which make it an exceptional place to relax and rejuvenate. This cabin was built with attention to detail and is maintained and loved. We want our guests to have a wonderful stay here at Sundance Log Cabin. The owners live nearby and we can help with any assistance you may require.

What makes this house unique

The Cabin itself is charming, clean, light, airy and natural with a gorgeous country sophistication. Everyone who has stayed at our cabin over the past 10 years has often noted on the cleanliness, charm and uniqueness of the property. We love the creek and the fishing hut and the great apples and berries in the summertime. The winter stone fireplace is divine and the cabin is cozy in the winter with 2 sources for heat and in the summer it stays nice and cool with full A/C.

We like to entertain on the large decks and sit in the rockers and enjoy the peace. The children like to play soccer in the large flat grass field out in front or wet their line in the creek.

Guestbook comments from the owner

So glad that we found your Cabin on VRBO. Thank you for the welcoming refreshments. Your cabin is so impeccably well kept, warm and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was so nice to have a quiet place to come back to after our daily excursions. Thumbs up for the "Well Bred Bakery" for the breakfast fare. And kudos to your back porch for a quiet place to read and enjoy refreshments. Continued success with your farm!

Thanks!!!

Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Sundance Log Cabin while visiting family in the area. Everything was just perfect! The log cabin is wonderful and the area is beautiful. The owner, Cici, came over to greet us and make sure we didn't need anything. Our experience at Sundance Log Cabin could not have been better. I highly recommend this VRBO.

Peaceful cabin by the creek

  • 4 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sundance. Cici is great to work with and was sweet to stop by and check on us after we arrived. The grounds were perfect for throwing a Frisbee or football. Our teenage sons had a great time skipping rocks and wading in the creek on the property. The deck was rustic and very relaxing, especially at night as the multitude of crickets chirped in the background. We also loved the ping pong table. The guys had fun competing in tournaments at the end of our long days of excursions. The location was convenient to all of our day trips in the Asheville area as well as to grocery stores and restaurants. Thanks, Cici, for a great vacation!

Rain didn't ruin our stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

CiCi was extremely accommodating! We overlooked the line in her email that stated how to get in. When we arrived we called her and she was at the house within minutes to help. The cabin was beautiful and clean! There were plenty of dishes to make meals at the cabin. We BBQ one day and the gas grill work flawlessly. We had our 9 m/o and 2.5 y/o boys. They had a great time exploring inside and outside. There is a nice big yard for them to play. Just be careful to watch the little ones near the creeks. Unfortunately it was a little chilly and rainy for creek. Weaverville is a nice quiet town with everything you'd need without having to go to Asheville if you don't want to. Asheville was a short 15-20minute drive. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short 4 mile drive. I did morning bike rides up ox creek (try and stay off reems creek) to the BRP and from there you can do a 24 mile loop to town or just cruise on the parkway. There was plenty of climbing and scenery to keep anyone happy. Overall from a cyclist and dads point of view I wouldn't have changed a thing. We had a great time.

Thanks CiCi!!!!

A Well Appointed Retreat Close to Town!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the cabin was wonderful for our family of four. Our two boys had tons of room to roam; two creeks to explore and fields to throw frisbee and play chase. The cabin itself had all we needed in terms of comfort and space. The giant basement is a great place to spread out and relax and play ping pong. It seemed as if most things had been thought of before we had a chance to think of them! For instance, when we arrived, the fireplace was loaded and ready to go with fresh firewood, fat wood and newspaper pre-shredded--I don't know that I would have thought to make a fire ordinarily @ this time of year, though it really set the mood and took the mountain morning chill off! In short, we loved it! We will surely be back in the future.

Beautiful cabin, wonderful stay!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family really enjoyed our time at the Sundance cabin! The house is well taken care of and in a beautiful setting! It has many extras that you don't always find in a rental property such as hand soap, kitchen towels, a hairdryer, etc. Our kids enjoyed playing in the large yard and wading in the river nearby (more a small creek)! The house is convenient to many attractions in Asheville such as restaurants, shopping, and outdoor activities! Our family enjoyed hiking at Chimney Rock and rafting with the Blue Heron company!! It was a very memorable trip!! We appreciate the hospitality!!♥️♥️♥️

The cabin was very clean, plenty of room. Th location and setting of the cabin was also very nice, two creeks offer a nice variety of metamorphic rocks to pick through. The owner was also very nice. Will recommend to friends and family.

Notes:
This property is located between two lovely streams. On the larger stream we have a charming screened in hut where it is private and a wonderful place to bring a good book and relax! The stream is also stocked in season with trout! The stream is fun to walk in and some good size swimming holes can be found.
