Good value

First-time VRBO user brought some booking frustration. Resolved thanks to owner cooperation. Site was good value, especially for a long-term booking (at least a week). May not have good experience if we had to share a toilet and shower for more than one day.

Horrible

We arrived at the property expecting first floor, private master suite with it's own bathroom. When we arrived, the owner was not there, the drywall ceiling in the kitchen was caving in, the wooden trim by the front door inside looked rotted, it was not clean. The owner arrived and he and has wife were having a discussion in a foreign language, she was clearly mad. He questioned that we had a reservation, wanted to know when we made it, I showed him the conversations back and forth on VRBO. He said he was no longer with you, the first floor master suite was taken and had no private bathroom and the only one with it's own bathroom was upstairs. The whole experience was horrible and I was preparing to sleep in my car as there was nothing else available, and cutting my trip short. I had a friend with me who agreed with me, it was not clean, we were not wanted and the whole thing was a horrible mistake. I need a 100% refund as the room was not available and even if it was, I would not have felt safe and/or clean there.

Enjoyed the room and it’s nice oval tub( shower also)

My first time renting a VRBO I didn’t get address until after I paid. It was a residential area. I was there without a car so I had nice walks around the area but unable to walk to water. I did find a nice restaurant in walking distance called the Mariner’s. The owner was on location and was very nice and helpful. I saw them continuing to take nice care of the place. There was a small fridge in the room. The kitchen always had coffee available. I enjoyed the hanging rocker and hammock in the back yard. It was easy to find and if you have a car not far to many restaurants and stores
