We had an absolutely fantastic time this past weekend and wouldn't hesitate to either stay again ourselves or recommend the cabin to both family and friends.
Thanks again for providing such a lovely vacation home for us to enjoy the Shenandoah.
We've been staying at Shenandoah Dreaming for going on 5 years now. This place is immaculate, comfortable, charming, beautiful and includes everything you need or want in a week or weekend away! Close to activies too! Enjoy your evenings out by a nice fire along the river, staring at the stars....you'll end up staying longer the next time. We did :)!
We had a wonderful stay and would come back here again. We have stayed at many properties by Shenandoah and this was the best by far. It is right on the water and had beautiful views. The house itself was gorgeous as well. Perfect place to relax!
Our family of five spent 4 days at Shenandoah Dreaming over spring break. The cabin was great - very clean, updated, and spacious. The bedrooms were not very large, but they were still a decent size. The screened in porch in the back was large - we had a few dinners there. The backyard was large and flat - great for outdoor games - though I would strongly recommend rubber boots because the grass was a bit damp (no rain while we were there) and very muddy. The best part was the cabin's location on the river. Absolutely gorgeous views, and although we were there in March, with some effort my three boys still had the thrill of catching some fish. We also took out the canoes and had fun exploring the river. One thing to consider is that the cabin is not close to walking or biking trails, and the access road is narrow and not really safe for casual walks. Plan to drive somewhere to do those things.
This was the first year we stayed in Shenandoah dreaming and our stay was fabulous! We didn't want to leave, The place was immaculate, one of the cleanest cabins we've ever stayed in. The cabin was fully equipped they had canoes, the view was outstanding absolutely loved it ...we will be back next year!!!
We stayed here to celebrate our fathers 99 birthday. The short distance to the river and screened porch were perfect for our visit. The river and fire pit were easily reachable for everyone in our party. Even though it rained 3 of the 4 days there, the cabin was cozy and very relaxing. Our father said he has it on his list for his 100th birthday next fall. We will definitely be back. Was most relaxing and peaceful to get away from all the hustle and bustle of suburbia, but close enough to town for any needs. Loved, loved, loved the time spent here. Thanks for the memories we were able to make with family
Wonderful location and cabin was so comfortable and we could have stayed on the screened-in porch and watched the lazy river flow by all day! The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed (except matches which we forgot to bring to light our charcoal). However, with a little ingenuity we managed the charcoal without having to rub sticks together. One of our group had had knee surgery and the cabin was easy to get in and around for her with only 3-4 steps. Would definitely choise Shenandoah Dreaming for another relaxing getaway.
