About this property

This is a cute and charming 1 bedroom, 1 bath older beach home with an excellent unobstructed Gulf View. It has a nicely equipped kitchen w/ a d/w, washer and dryer, 2 televisions with satellite, 2 DVD players, 1 VCR in the bedroom, Internet access and an outdoor shower (cold water only). There is a large open deck for relaxing and sunning and a large covered deck for pelican watching. Enjoy a relaxing vacation in this delightful house.

This unit rents on a 4 night minimum during Spring Break and Summer. All other dates are a 3 night minimum.

Please note there is a Non-Refundable Pet fee (per pet) ranging from $50 to $150 depending on the size of pet.

WE RENT A YEAR TO THE DATE. IF YOU MAKE A RESERVATION BEFORE THE CURRENT GUEST REFUSES RENTAL FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION AND REFUND YOUR MONEY.

We love Ft Morgan!

We enjoyed our stay at the Pelican Roost. If you’re looking for a no frills way to get beachfront, this is it. If you’re coming from the Midwest, this cottage will remind you of many places you see in the North Woods.

Great location, property well suited for price.

No issues with property, neighbors behind house made us leave a day early. They were blasting music and partying all night and day, also there were many of us staying in the area that had a problem with their kids using our beach chairs and canopy as their own. Definitely ruined the vibe for Ft Morgan. We hope that property managers consider that before letting large groups book their properties. We come to Ft Morgan for relaxing, not partying like Panama City Beach.

A Short Review...

This house is in an excellent location and meets the minimum requirements if you're just looking for a place to eat and sleep close to the beach. There are a few things that could easily be updated that would make this a more comfortable stay like; a better bed, regular (not fluorescent!) lights, a sprayer for the sink, additional linens and towels, a closet, digital entry instead of keys etc. The real issue with this home is that the internet did not work AT ALL for the entire 8 days we were there! The home was advertised as having internet/Wifi and it is unacceptable for it to not be working for that length of time. A few "bumps in the road" are understandable when things break but 8 days impacts our livelihood. The management company did offer for us to use their office to work however- this is not a reasonable solution. No one wants to sit in an office during business hours when you drive 14 hours and pay to be at the beach. No compensation was offered for our loss of income and inconvenience as well. I had to call the management company several times to report the issue with the internet or to get updates on what was going on with fixing it. Communication with them while pleasant- was severely lacking. The internet was finally fixed the night before we left! Unreal!!

Sweet Simple Sand

If you are looking for a getaway to simply “get away”, Pelican Roost is the place. No hustle and bustle. House is older and interior not updated, but it is cozy and relaxing. The front porch is great.
