Located on the left bank in Saint Germain des Prés near the St. Sulpice Church, you are in the ideal place to visit and enjoy the museums, parks, shopping, and night life of Paris. By living in the center, you can easily walk down to the Seine to visit Notre Dame, the Louvre or the d’Orsay Museums, walk through the Latin Quarter, and relax in the Luxembourg Gardens. Gourmet shopping is next door with the Bon Marché Grande Epicerie and the Saint Germain Market only two blocks away. Five buses stop in front and three metro lines are within one block.
The ground floor Studio is in a 1700's building and was renovated last year. It is large, quiet, and opens onto an isolated back garden shared with a couple of artist studios.
Françoise and David, the owners and managers of the apartment, live in the same building. They bought and renovated the apartment in order to have space for family and friends visiting Paris. They have rented the space whenever free through VRBO since 2005.
Owner purchased this condo in 2004
We have many regulars that come once or twice a year for their 'Paris stay'. People are never surprised when they first see it, as the photos and description are accurate. We have been receiving wonderful reviews for years from the now hundreds of people that have stayed there.
Its ground floor, no stairs. Its quiet. Its clean. Its fully equipped. ITs well decorated. Its secure. In the nine years of renting we have never had a security incident, nor have our neighbors. You can walk out of the back door into a large, unique, hidden courtyard, planted with trees and flowers.
This one-bedroom apartment was well situated for my husband and myself. The owners have paid much attention to every detail from the well equipped kitchen to other necessities including umbrellas, a hair dryer, electric converter plugs, and shopping bags. The ground floor provided easy access for us but has the disadvantage of early morning noise from the occupants above.
We were most comfortable there. The location is great. We walked everywhere for shopping, museums, and dining. And we appreciate the "tip sheets" for good restaurants and shopping.
Thank you for being such good hosts.
I travelled with my husband and 5 year old daughter to Paris for her first time and we really enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment. It had every amenity you could think of including a much needed washer and dryer. It's tastefully decorated and well laid out. Above all else, it's location is great with countless metro and bus lines within a quick walk.
We loved this apartment. Clean and spacious. Great location with everything right outside your doorstep! We would definitely stay again! Francoise and David were very helpful and available to us!
Location, location, location. All the previous reviews are right. Just two short blocks to St Germain Blvd, and Café Flore and Deux Maggots, and many others. On your way you will pass Monoprix. Pick up some wine, cheese, and some very good prepared foods to take back to the apartment if you do not feel like going out to dinner, or having guests over prior to going out for dinner. Just walk out the front door of the building and either go right or left only a few steps to find a few really good café/restaurant for a meal or a glass of wine. Handy when the weather is cold. Very important. The Metro is also just a few steps from the apt. As for the apartment. Very easy access. Just watch the u-tube on how to gain access. My wife said the apt was lovely and well put together. It was on the ground floor, which was very important to us . Very large windows with a view of the garden. Lots of light. Well furnished with every thing you will need for a comfortable stay. The owner, Francoise (a charming lovely young woman) came over the first day, and explained how everything works. We have been to Paris many times, but this is the first time we stayed in an apartment, and we are glad we did. Fortunately, we picked the right apartment.
We stayed in this apartment for 6 nights in October. The apartment was very clean and well stocked including a washer and dryer. The internet was fast and reliable. The apartment has an international phone which we used to handle a credit card problem.
The bath and shower were fine. The TV had many channels including some English channels. We enjoyed our stay an the owners were very helpful.
The bed was hard, but we got used to it.
We were shown how to use all the appliances, but it would have been nice to have written instructions to read.
We would stay in this apartment again, the location is perfect - near metro stops and restaurants.
This is a fabulous location. Really close to the Metro, and an easy walk to the Latin Quarter and NotreDam. The apartment is small, but just fine for us.
