About NADA

I have been skiing the Aspen Mountains for almost ten years and dreaming of owning a piece of this lovely town. I have owned this unit over three years and we have done a major remodel in 2007 stripping the unit completely with top of the line bathrooms and kitchen and comfortable beautiful furniture. We made sure that the beds are comfortable as we will be using the unit ourselves. We are looking forward to rent this unit to families of no more than 6 adults.

Our unit is only two blocks to the St. Regis Hotel, Hyatt and three blocks to the Aspen Mountain Gondola. A bus stop is right by the building and within minutes walk to shopping and entertainment. Nothing can beat this location for its charm and location.

Too many issues with this apartment

Struggled with the 3 star rating . Issues were numerous but gave 3 instead of 2 stars because owners and property manager worked to fix the issues. Still, it took away from the vacation. Heat was out for 4 days, light fixture in kitchen has electrical issues and so all of the lights don’t work, king and queen comforters were not clean and bedding in general was in dingy, worn condition. It is too bulky to Fit In the stacked washer dryer so I bought new coverlets and pillows to use during my stay. They did have a new set of sheets available so I changed the beds to those. Towels were fine. Owner said they take their own bedding and towels when they book a VRBO so there you have it. Apparently they assume/expect their guests to do the same. Fuse blew twice when a heater was plugged in the guest room and lights went out. Radiator clanged in the night once heat was fixed. Guest bedroom closet is used for storage so little room for your clothes and no dresser or drawers to store them either. Good news is the owners were accessible though would not offer compensation of any kind for any of these issues, primarily the heat, or reimbursement for the bedding which I had planned to leave, even though wife initially agreed to reimburse. Wife had said yes, husband after the fact said no. Also have to note there were very few hangers, soap or basics in the unit when I arrived. I asked and manager brought. Manager of the property took care of the heat (it took 4days to fix) and provided heaters in the interim, fixed the fuse issues and was pleasant and helpful. Unit has good mountain decor and is well located and but has too many issues. There are just too many other options for me to book this again.

Owner's Response: Hello Gina I fully understand your comments which was unfortunate I have tried my best to fix heat issue was resolved although late however we managed to get electric heaters until issue was finally resolved. Regarding other issues we can not verify the facts about the condition of bed covers but i take your word and we have already replace them but I did mention to you that I take my pillows and sheets when I travel and rent for hygiene as well as comfort and personal preference . I don’t normally use the shampoo provided even in 5 star hotels cause it creates an itch for me. Also my pillow is personalized . I did however offer to compensate for the coverlets and pillows but never heard back from you and whether you actually bought them or not. In fact I replace towels , sheets , pillows every season. You have mentioned new set of sheets were provided . We have also replaced towels in the summer . Again I thank you for staying with us and would offer you 20 % discount on your next stay with us for your inconvenience . I would also offer you a free weekend stay in the summer if you ever visit Aspen .

I have traveled and Rented many Condo's in Aspen during Aspen Food and Wine ( this is High Season and High Rate) in the past 6 + years.

My Wife and I arrived on June 15 to spend four days here, the first thing we noticed was that the floor was very uneven, wood floor must have had bad water damage. Then as we walked more into the Condo, the Master Bath had light bulbs that did not work, or the one was flickering, and this was the trend through out the Condo ( Missing Bulbs in Lamps in the Bedrooms ). of the two bathrooms, only one of the bathrooms had one bar of soap for shower, one bar for sink. The Condo looked like it had not been cleaned in several days. We called the owner for these issues, he had sent a person to fix TV that night, and a Cleaning person would be there to clean and bring more soap ( she arrive in the morning, my Wife opened the door and she handed her two soaps and two shampoos ( there was no cleaning done at all ). Now we are on our second day here, we wanted to sit on the deck ( the Deck Chairs and floor was so dirty, again was not cleaned before our arrival ) Yes the owner had mentioned that there was construction in the area ( bad excuse.... it should have been clean before we arrived ). Also we found that the Master Bedroom Bed sheets have holes in them. Again, this is Aspen and at Food and Wine time, rates are high, this Condo is not fit for these High Rates. I will be making other choices during my time in Aspen, I suggest that other people do the same.

great location

A most enjoyable experience. Four nights were spent solo and four nights with two family members. The condo was comfortable and well maintained, with current decor and high end finishes. The location is highly desirable because of proximity to Ajax and lift 1 A and 3 short blocks to the gondola. The main view is pretty much unobstructed to the mountain, and the 2 bedrooms each have balcony views to red mountain. Parking is great with three available areas. From this core Aspen location restaurants, shopping and entertainment are within very quick walks. A real value at the rental rate.

New Years in Aspen

We stayed at the Timber Ridge condo recently for the week of New Years with two adult couples. The unit was well appointed, very clean and well kept. The size of the property was great for 4 people. The location is within a few blocks of all the key areas within Aspen, restaurants, bus depot (free buses to all ski areas), main gondola for AJAX and shopping. The owners were easy to deal with and were very responsive to any requests. We had a great experience during our trip and plan to visit Aspen again in the near future.

Timber Ridge Winter Stay

My wife and I spent 5 weeks Jan-Feb at the Timber Ridge Condo. We had a wonderful stay at this fine Condo. The location is excellent: a short walk to town, Gondola and bus stop. Good snow conditions allowed me to ski back right to the door of the condo. This condo has an awesome view of Ajax.. The condo is nicely appointed and classy. The building is quiet and the beds are very comfortable. Relaxing stay with incredible skiing.

comfortable/ quiet/ convenient

We stayed for 4 weeks this summer and I can't say I have any complaints. We liked that it was just a few blocks away from the core but seemed quieter than most places becuase it's slightly off the main traffic area. Beds were comfortable; kitchen was well equipped; bathrooms nice, and smart and well furnished living room complimented our family of 3. The owner was extremely responsive to our emails with every last detail. We would definitely rent this place again.
