Beautiful house with amazing view
The property is secluded with a stunning view on the sea and the mountains.
The house is of perfect size for a family of four, very well equipped and decorated with very good taste.
The garden is absolutely gorgeous with a large variety of trees and plants that create the most delicious perfume of fruits and flowers and give you fresh figs and lemons.
The pool is the icing on the cake and contributes to make this place perfect.
All of this is definitely worth the climb.
We had the most relaxing vacation and highly recommend this house to anyone who loves nature and quiet.
Thank you for this lovely review! We are delighted that you appreciated the house and the garden, and that you enjoyed your stay.
Banyalbufar is a quiet village and still largely dominated by the locals, who are proud of their traditions and care for them. It is one of few places in the Tramuntana mountains, which lie directly on the sea and the only one from which you can walk in a short time to the beach. In Banyalbufar there are also several good restaurants, cafes, two grocery stores with its own bakery, a well equipped pharmacy, a bank and shops with souvenirs and beach necessities.
One can from the house on foot in about 20 minutes walk down to the beach, if you are prepared, the way to take back to itself, which goes partly quite steep uphill. But it is also possible to go by car to a large natural park on the bay and go from there, the stairs down to the beach. The beach is rocky, but the water is crystal clear and good for snorkeling.
Our house is located in the outer area of Banyalbufar, halfway up the mountain. One drives a narrow, steep road up to the parking lot, and from there it goes on foot some terraces up to the house, our lemon trees over. This small effort is the price for the spectacular views and seclusion. And the house is not suitable for persons who are unable to walk or do not like to be physically active.
The village center can be reached on foot in about 10 minutes.
Banyalbufar formerly known for its white wine from the Malvasia grape that came as a specialty of the royal houses of Europe, up to the beginning of the last century the vines were ravaged and destroyed by a disease. In recent years there has been a revival of viticulture. Now can the Malvasia wine again try and buy in.
The wild-romantic Tramuntana Mountains stretches from the southwest to the northwest of the island along the sea and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage 2011th Highly recommend it, continue on the coastal road towards Andraitx, to the next village Estellencs and moreover, because the road has very dramatic views of the coastline and wild landscapes.
In the other direction, the winding road to Valdemossa and on to Deia and Soller is recommended.
On the way to Palma to get through Esporles, a larger place, 20 minutes from Banyalbufar, with two supermarkets, butchers, fruit and vegetable shops, sidewalk cafes, and a remarkable library in a modernized old factory. Every Saturday morning there is a lively market on the main road.
